Hello friends, How is January flowing?
Smooth?
Wobbly?
Uneven?
Or very much âdonât bother me until summerâ Ha.
I hear you.
January always asks me to enter gentlyâIâm not a hit-the-ground-running kind of girl, and Iâve learned to honor that.
When I first started teaching yoga asana (postures), I never imagined Iâd one day be a meditation and breathwork teacher as well. Sitting still was not my cup of tea. Being alone in my own mind felt challenging⌠even disturbing at times. Meditation felt advanced, inaccessible, not for me. I had an on-and-off relationship with it for yearsâuntil I finally found my way in during my meditation teacher training.
And that was the key.
Finding your way IN.
Thatâs exactly why I created this 14-day online meditation & breathwork journeyâas a gentle entry point. A way to explore what meditation and breathwork can look like for you. Just like there are many styles of yoga asana, there are many ways to meditate, breathe and practice awareness. The key is to find the way that works for you.
This past year, Iâve leaned on meditation and breathwork deeply to stay calm and present through lossâon airplanes, trains, buses, park benches, by the lake. And this is the best part: no equipment, no special clothes, no perfect schedule. All from your comfy home!
Just your body. Your breath. A quiet moment to begin.

My offering this monthâŚ
Normally, I invite students to set a âwhyâ for their practiceâan intention to help direct and guide them at the start of practice. This month, Iâve been offering something a little different: a contemplation to explore through the practice.
⨠What are you being awakened to?â¨â¨ Whatâs being revealed, unlayered, or exposed?
For myself, Iâve noticed that when I hold this inquiry, I stay more present and often land in moments of insight. Not alwaysâsometimes I just move, breathe, and flow, and thatâs enough. Other times, whatâs revealed is discomfort, agitation, or fear.
And then there are those beautiful moments when I feel crystal clear about somethingâa person, a situation, or even an answer Iâve been waiting for. (Yes, book that trip!)
So the next time youâre in class, I invite you to sit with this question:
What am I being awakened to?
It might surprise you.â¨Be open. Be curious. Be awake.

Past YTT graduates - all felt the calling and said YES!
9 years ago, I said YES to Yoga Teacher Training (YTT).â¨I didnât fully know what I was saying yes to at the timeâbut now I realize I was saying yes to ME.
