🐾 FOSTER HOMES NEEDED 🐾

Purr n Ruff Rescue is urgently looking for foster homes within approximately 1 hour of Mitchell, SD for dogs currently in our rescue and for dogs that may come into our care after being found outside city limits.

Many of these dogs arrive with little to no known history. We often don't know how they are with children, other dogs, cats, livestock, or even basic household routines. That's where our fosters make all the difference.

As a foster, you'll provide:
🐶 A safe place to stay
🐶 Daily care and observation
🐶 Valuable information about the dog's personality and needs
🐶 A chance for the dog to decompress and prepare for adoption

Fostering saves lives by giving us the ability to help dogs that otherwise may have nowhere to go.

Just thought I would update you on my progress. I'm doing really well after my spay, I have an appointment on the 22nd to get my clearance for adoption, and then... I get to go on a trial run on the 24th. I guess there are 2 other fur babies that I have to get their approval to join their familly, so wish me luck. 🐕🐕 Looking for my FUREVER home 🐕🐕

Hello, my name is Scarlett, I'm an 8 yr old German Shepherd/Husky Mix

Due to no fault of my own I'm back in Rescue and now am looking for that right home.
I struggle with: 🐶 Separation anxiety 🐶 low confidence / nervousness 🐶 fear of men (not aggressive, just scared and unsure)

I'm looking for a home that can provide: a calm stable home, someone who is home often, has patience, consistency, and lots of reassurance, ideally a home with older kids, without a lot of visitors or chaos while they decompress. I'm good with small / big dogs and cats. I enjoy going on walks and playing with my toys. I would need a fenced yard as i can tend to sneak out and go on strolls by myself. I am kennel trained and house broke.

I am Vaccinated, Spayed, Microchipped and on Preventatives.

Sweet Pea has been doing well after her spay in her foster home.
Her foster mom says
"She is doing amazing after her spay. We had new person at the house and she warmed up the her within 10 mins (after barking a lot first). Ear infection is seeming to be better, itching less!"

Rescue life is amazing, but it is also messy. To keep our foster dogs safe, clean, and healthy, we go through an incredible amount of cleaning supplies every single week.
​If you have extra supplies at home or want to grab an extra item on your next grocery run, we would be endlessly grateful!

​Bleach & Disinfecting wipes
Disinfecting Spray
​Paper towels (we can never have enough!)
​Trash bags/Grocery bags (13-gallon or heavy-duty)
