Nehemiah, a servant of the Persian king, returns to Jerusalem with a mission to restore the city and the people’s faith. Through perseverance and prayer, Nehemiah leads the people to rebuild, despite opposition and challenges. Jesus desires a personal encounter with you today.
Being too short to see over the crowds, Zacchaeus didn’t let that stop him. His desire to encounter Jesus drove him to climb a tree — just to be seen.
And Jesus did more than see him. He called him by name and asked him to come into his home.

FAITHFUL WITNESSES OF THE LORD!
This Saturday, STREETLIGHTS Academy will be held at Central Baptist Church of NYC in New York City.
The entire STREETLIGHTS Team will be there, along with Aswan Morris, David Ham, SoulCry Worship, Cellus Hamilton, and Randy Mason!
The Academy is a time for community, worship, teaching, preaching, and music, all centered around the Word of God. If you're in the NYC area, you won't want to miss this!

But Peter took him aside and began to reprimand him for saying such things. “Heaven forbid, Lord,” he said. “This will never happen to you!”

Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it. And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul? For the Son of Man will come with his angels in the glory of his Father and will judge all people according to their deeds. And I tell you the truth, some standing here right now will not die before they see the Son of Man coming in his Kingdom.”
