Well said! Well said ...
You know they don’t like you, sis.
And it’s not because you’re loud. Or wrong. Or doing too much.
It’s because you’re doing the work they keep postponing.
The healing they keep rescheduling.
The honesty they keep swallowing.
The growth they keep praying about but never committing to.
You became a mirror they didn’t ask for.
When you chose discipline over excuses, it got uncomfortable.
When you chose boundaries over being liked, it got personal.
When you chose peace over proximity, it felt like rejection to them.
Here’s the part nobody says out loud:
People don’t hate your success.
They hate the reminder that they abandoned themselves.
You didn’t outgrow them to be better than them.
You outgrew them because staying small was costing you your life, your joy, your health, your calling.
And that shift?
It exposed the gap between intention and action.
Between potential and follow-through.
Between who they say they want to be and who they’re willing to become.
That gap makes noise.
And instead of closing it, some people try to silence you.
So they criticize.
They downplay.
They roll their eyes.
They say you’ve “changed” like it’s a diagnosis instead of a breakthrough.
But listen closely:
Change is what happens when self-respect finally speaks louder than fear.
You are not hard to love.
You are hard to control.
And that’s the real issue.
Here’s your freedom, sis:
The moment you stop needing their approval is the moment you stop handing them the remote to your life.
Approval is rented power.
Self-trust is owned.
When you stop asking, “Do they like me?”
And start asking, “Do I like who I’m becoming?”
Everything shifts.
You walk slower.
You speak clearer.
You choose better.
You sleep deeper.
You realize not everyone is meant to clap.
Some people were only meant to witness.
Let them misunderstand you.
Let them be uncomfortable.
Let them stay where they are.
Your job is not to convince anyone.
Your job is to continue.
Because the same courage that makes you intimidating to the unhealed
makes you a lighthouse to the ones who are ready.
And trust me, they’re watching.
Quietly.
Learning.
Waiting for permission they don’t need.
You didn’t lose people.
You lost alignment.
And that’s not loss.
That’s elevation.
Very true! Healing is a form of recognizing the pain. Learn from it and change the dynamics. Receive the proper help (if needed) and know "what not to do" towards your children.

My Daddy wasn't keen on the Holiday Seasons simply because of what his beliefs were ... However, he played his Role by showing up for his Family (IYKYK) One thing I can say ... he did enjoy Thanksgiving! Simply because it was being around Family and showing Unconditional Love.
