Equity’s summer interns are officially here! ☀️💼 From our corporate offices to communities across the country, this talented group is ready to dive in, make an impact, and learn alongside our team.

Over the next 10 weeks, they’ll handle projects that make a real difference in our operations while learning from mentors across departments and communities. They’ll also sharpen their skills through our Intern Development Series—with sessions on interview prep, personal branding, and bringing an owner’s mindset to their work.

Our Equity Values Council has been busy across the country, hosting hands-on community events and resource drives supported by our employees and residents. In Chicago, volunteers partnered with Mercy Housing to add fresh flowers and pops of color to a downtown property. In Denver, residents and team members partnered for a hygiene drive to support the Denver Rescue Mission. And in Southern California, employees spent the day giving extra love and attention to sheltered animals at the Mary S. Roberts Adoption Center while they wait for their new families.

These are just a few examples of the many ways our teams across the nation live our values as we show up, give back, and help create communities where people thrive.

Residents at Aero Apartments recently enjoyed a visit from Motivāt Coffee Roasters, sampling new brews and starting their morning with great coffee and even better company.

Members of our sustainability and investments teams recently had the opportunity to host students from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health at our Lofts at Kendall Square apartments in Cambridge, MA.

This visit focused on conversations around air quality, resident health, and the thoughtful material choices considered throughout our industry — and specifically how these factors helped shape the development of Lofts at Kendall Square more than a decade ago. Discussions like these are a meaningful reminder of the important role healthy, sustainable communities play in helping people thrive.

We’re always grateful for opportunities to share the sustainability efforts happening across our communities and to provide more context on the multifamily housing industry as we continue to engage with the world around us.

Our Jia / Mozaic at Union Station team in Los Angeles recently came together to cheer on Rafael’s promotion to Area Facilities Manager. It’s a great reminder of the support it takes to help someone grow into a new opportunity, and makes the transition feel a lot less bittersweet.
