Solar is not for the birds - unless you mean it literally! Happy summer solstice.
As we approach the first day of summer and longest day of sunshine in the year (here in the northern hemisphere) it's a good opportunity to consider going solar. Current federal laws being considered for next year would eliminate the 30% tax incentive for solar - while we are trying to do our part to ask lawmakers to reconsider this, you should consider going solar this year if you want to ensure you can receive the tax break - contact us (or another installer if you aren't in Chicagoland area) today!
This July 4 declare your energy independence with solar! We are offering great deals and short payback periods, allowing you to save tens of thousands of dollars. Contact us today!

While solar has few natural foes
The worst in winter are deep snows
But with a little carefulness and grace
That white stuff you can displace
And with that, the energy savings grows...

I'd like to recommend a recent podcast by Chris Hayes, who is interviewing Bill McKibben about the climate crisis. As Bill mentions (among many interesting things) one of the things we need to do NOW is point more solar panels at the sun. Contact us (or others in the solar install business) to get this done!
Here's one link:

A few thoughts on the Oppenheimer movie in the context of solar. The atomic bomb the US (and allies) rapidly developed under Oppie at Los Alamos relied on fission- breaking apart either Uranium or Plutonium atoms. The larger hydrogen bomb (i.e. the 'super') developed by Teller and others some years afterwards used fusion. It's this fusion energy that powers our sun, and which beams the energy across space that we can collect on solar panels. While there were serious ethical concerns amongst scientists weighing their positive effects on war effort vs destructive force, there are no such concerns for solar. Today we as a world face a slower moving and more subtle challenge than the allies did in the 1940s - climate change. Increasing use of renewables - principally solar - is one strong way to address this.
