Gen Con 2025 was a blast. John ran the Terraforming Mars tournament again this year, Matt was a Pirate Borg harbormaster again, and Deri made it to the final table in the Eclipse tournament. It was really great to see everyone in person to catch up and talk games. See you next year!

400 Billion Suns and Geektopia Games have been working hard on a tabletop skirmish game called Demise of Species and we've just released a free preview in the form of a quick-start on our website. I'll be at Gen Con talking up the game to friends and we wanted to have a quickstart to show off and offer to everyone for free.

Demise of Species is a standalone game that's compatible with Forbidden Psalm, Mörk Borg, and Pirate Borg.

The sample for Essence of Eternity arrived for us to approve and we purchased some sleeves ahead of time so we would be prepared to test it out right away.

I'm happy to report 54mm x 86mm sleeves fit great and if you remove the cardboard insert, everything fits in the original box.

In the below photos you'll notice I added some foam in the box since you'll need to remove the cardboard insert.

"Calamity Jane" od Geektopia Games. Jestem wyjątkowo zadowolony! Raz, że mimo dosyć monotonnej palety kolorów całość nie jest nudna, dwa że udało mi się (chyba) ujarzmić te dosyć dziwne cieliste farbki z nowej serii Vallejo Game Color - farbki są bardziej różowe niż jestem przyzwyczajony, ale poniekąd głównie dzięki temu skóra Jane odróżnia się od ochrowej reszty. Sukces podwójny!

Przypominam, że w trakcie malowania warto robić notatki. Dzięki temu możemy wrócić do czegoś, co rozgrzebaliśmy na przykład pół roku temu, i pomalować brakujące elementy w miarę podobnie. A jak nie mamy notatek, to trzeba mieć dobrą pamięć, albo dobre oko do kolorów, albo i jedno i drugie.

Na przykład to wspaniałe popiersie od Geektopia Games zacząłem malować jakieś pół roku temu, spędziłem nad nim może ze dwa wieczory, a potem zająłem się czym innym, a popiersie tak sobie stało na mojej Półce Rzeczy W Trakcie i łapało kurz. A że udało mi się wyczyścić kolejkę zamówień przed wakacjami - to wziąłem się za czyszczenie ww. Półki, i na początek wziąłem się właśnie za nie.

No, i oczywiście nie mam żadnych notatek, bo nigdy nie robię notatek, polegając na swojej (khe,khe) niezawodnej pamięci - i cóż, o ile kolor ubrania udało mi się odtworzyć bez większych problemów, to ze skórą już tak łatwo nie poszło - i w efekcie palce mają inny odcień niż twarz. Na żywo tego aż tak nie widać, ale na zdjęciu jednak rzuca się w oczy. Chociaż może to kwestia światła? No cóż, mówi się trudno, chyba nie będę tego poprawiał.

13 hours left in our campaign for Essence of Eternity. We're over 300% funded and have unlocked stretch goals to upgrade the cardstock, add foil to the unicorn blood cards, and added a new monster type. We'll be sad to see the project come to an end but excited knowing we are one step closer to getting this game in everyone's hands.

Essence of Eternity is funded and entering the last 24 hours of the Kickstarter campaign. It's been heartening to see everyone's enthusiasm for the game and to have so many new backers keep pledging support each day. We'll be sad to see the project come to an end but excited knowing we are one step closer to getting this game in everyone's hands.

There are still pledge goals that could potentially be unlocked and the next one is a new Monster added to the green deck which holds the Forest Realm.
