Kellen Brown of the Rambler Battalion is our #ArmyROTC #CadetOfTheWeek 🎉 Brown is a Political Science major at DePaul University. Along with his studies and Army ROTC commitments, Brown is involved in Student Government and a fraternity at his university. He recently started a job at a Chicago law firm and plans to attend law school in the future. Brown joined Army ROTC because of a desire to serve: "Being a leader in the Army is a privilege that only a select few are able to undertake. Once I realized that being in Army ROTC and becoming an officer would allow me to help others and achieve my career goals, I knew I needed to join." He branched Military Intelligence and hopes to work at the Pentagon one day. Brown is continually motivated to coach and mentor, striving to leave a positive influence on the lives of others. "I decided to lead because it’s the right thing to do, and it’s what the world needs more of. In order to create the positive change we want to see and to help others achieve their goals, we have to decide to lead. But deciding to do so brings a lot of responsibility; it takes a lot of practice and experience to become the best leaders we can be, and I know I’m not there yet either!" #DecideToLead | #LeadershipExcellence | #ArmyPossibilities

MAJ Wallace represented the Rambler Battalion at the Chicago Blackhawks vs. Edmonton Oilers game! He had the privilege of walking onto the ice for the national anthem.

We would like to congratulate Rambler CDT Kellen Brown for being selected for the 2022 Lincoln Laureate Award!

Every fall, an outstanding senior from each of the four-year degree-granting institutions of higher learning in Illinois is awarded the Abraham Lincoln Civic Engagement Award. This award is bestowed by the Governor, making the recipient a Student Laureate of The Lincoln Academy of Illinois. CDT Brown was selected for his leadership and service in the pursuit of the betterment of humanity and for overall excellence in curricular and extracurricular activities.

CDT Brown is branching Active Duty Military Intelligence. He currently ranks in the top 5% on the national order of merit list and is recognized as a Distinguished Military Graduate. He was also selected to be the Cadet Battalion Commander for the Rambler Battalion in the upcoming Spring semester.

Ramblers worked with Loyola’s Student Veterans Association and collected non-perishable food items for the community. These items were carried in rucks and donated to A Just Harvest!

Ramblers are wrapping up the semester with a holiday potluck. Cadets received awards for their hard work this semester and celebrated the holiday season as a battalion with some trivia! Great job this semester Ramblers! Finish it off strong!

We honor and thank our Veterans every day, but November 11th is a special day Veterans are honored and recognized nationally.

Cadets honored those who served by attending a Veterans Day of Remembrance Ceremony with the Student Veterans Association, Loyola President, and guest speaker and Veteran, Terry Prince. Ramblers participated in the color guard while our very own MAJ Wallace sang the National Anthem.

32 cadets completed an 18 mile Norwegian Ruck March to remember those who have served.

We thank all Veterans for their service to our country.

Cadets joined the Pritzker Military Museum & Library in celebrating its 19th annual Liberty Gala at the Chicago Hilton Hotel. The cadets served as the Color Guard for the event.
