In a time where so much of life is filtered, curated, staged, and performed… I think there’s something incredibly important about remembering people honestly.
That’s why documentary photography matters so deeply to me.
Not because perfection doesn’t have a place, but because real moments are often the ones that quietly become the most meaningful over time.
The trembling hands before walking down the aisle.
Tears held back during speeches.
Your grandma watching from the corner of the room.
Friends screaming lyrics on the dance floor.
The way your partner reaches for your hand without thinking.
None of those moments can be recreated exactly as they happened.
Weddings are more than aesthetics. More than trends. More than perfectly styled details.
They are living, breathing memories unfolding in real time.
And years from now, I truly believe the photographs that will mean the most are the ones that let you feel something again.
Not just how it looked.

“I don’t want to settle down with you… I want to take off with you.”
Liv’s words during their vows felt like the truest reflection of saying “I do” — not something meant to slow life down, but something that lifts it, carries it forward, and opens the door to every new chapter waiting ahead.
Their wedding day felt a little like the city itself was celebrating alongside them.
Snowflakes were carried softly over the skyline while strangers on neighboring rooftops called out “congratulations!”
Inside, candlelight danced around them as they promised forever. Beneath disco balls and glowing dance floors, the night turned into a blur of laughter, music, and the kind of dancing that only happens when everyone you love is in the same room.
A love that doesn’t settle.

Toward the end of 2025 I was burnt out.
I was spending too much time worrying about what I should post instead of focusing on the work itself.
So I stopped trying to impress the algorithm.
And something unexpected happened.
I was more intentional.
More presence with my couples.
More room for creativity.
More weddings documented the way they actually felt — not the way social media expects them to look.
Turns out when you stop creating for Instagram…
you start creating something far more meaningful.
Toward the end of 2025 I was burnt out.

Paige and Will’s wedding felt timeless in every sense — from handwritten love notes in the morning to champagne-fueled celebrations late into the night.

Traveling through the city to some iconic locations with their favorite people in tow might have been one of many highlights. The glistening lights of the chandeliers and the most perfect first dance. Truly a 2025 highlight for the FDC team.

Petals & Zest ~
Inspired by a raspberry martini, blooming chartreuse, and a little bit of chaos in the best way — this shoot was born from a single piece of art and grew into a full-sensory world of texture, color, and heart.
Every detail was layered with intention — from painterly stationery and dramatic florals to velvet tablescapes, citrus tones, and fashion-forward silhouettes. We poured ourselves into this shoot — truly. From sourcing the right glassware to finding the perfect blush gown, this was a labor of love.
It’s zesty. It’s romantic. It’s whimsical. It’s a reminder that you can build something editorial and expressive and still have it feel like it has a heartbeat.
