I was diagnosed with ADHD at age 9, which wasn't common for a girl in 1990. I was put on meds and never really did much else until things began to be too much for me to handle in my late 30s. Much like my late-diagnosed counterparts, I was spiraling, wondering why I couldn't keep up with "simple" tasks. I began digging for information about my brain when my marriage started falling apart. As I sta
In coaching we work a lot on metacognition and this is how it helps you buy yourself the peace to get s**t done!

"What was I thinking?!"
No way to know unless you have a post-mortem and:
🌿 Talk about it
🌿 Write about it
🌿 Discover your thoughts
🌿 Ask the right questions for growth
This practice also doubles as a much-needed PAUSE before reactivity ruins your day, week, month, or relationship.
Be brave.
Think about your thoughts so you can get better results next time!

Limbo... it WILL fry your brain if you sit there too long.
Will I or won't I...
🧠 Find an opportunity that is worthy of my time
🧠 Fire my right-hand guy who can't evolve
🧠 Address the problem in my marriage
🧠 Retire and start my next chapter
🧠 Start my own company
Time and time again I have clients and potential clients tell me
"Man, I just can't focus today. It's worse than it's ever been!"
A client said this again last week.
It took about five minutes to find the weight on his brain.
He was in limbo on a decision.
Our brains lose executive function during uncertainty.
We are biologically designed this way!
The problem for my clients is that they buckle under uncertainty faster because of the way their brains work.

One client thought she had dementia!
It turned out it was just being in limbo...
the stress of being between employment and retirement.
She couldn't see her future and was too stressed to plan it.
This is what I help clients through daily.
It's more than standard coaching.
It is the bobbing and weaving in and out of executive dysfunction to a place where you find your flow.
It's coaching that treats the over-active stress response FIRST before we get to strategy. That way implementation works!
I love my job!

You're not AI. That's kinda the point.
My client texted me on a Saturday.
"I was amazing yesterday. I was a machine. But today I just feel like I need to be doing all these things and I can't."
I asked her: What's wrong with relaxing today?
"Well, I was amazing yesterday."
So I asked: Are you a robot?
"No."
Then why do you think you need to perform at the same level every single day?
She started crying. "You mean there's nothing wrong with me?"
Nothing. Nothing wrong with you at all.
This is the pattern I see with almost every ADHD client. You have one incredible day where your energy is high and you're crushing it. You get everything done.
Then the next day is full of boring admin work and you can't focus. You feel like something's wrong with you.
You're not broken. You're not a robot.
You had an amazing day and your brain and body need to recover.
Give yourself permission to rest.
Let robots be robots, that's THEIR JOB.
What if healing isn’t about redefining your past? ⬇️
You may never feel "ready" for coaching. Maybe you're just ready to get out of your own way?
