IEEE Chicago Quantum Computing Group, IEEE Computer Society Chicago Chapter and the UIC IEEE are hosting a event on quantum computing.

We had a great turnout at our IEEE UIC GBM, this past Wednesday!

We talked upcoming projects, workshops, and professional events, then wrapped things up with a tour of the IEEE room and the Makerspace.

Join UIC's Robosub team! This Wednesday from 6 to 730pm in the ROTC building, room 112 - 113. No prior engineering experience or skills are required. All majors are welcome.

We will be hosting a workshop covering the basics of System Verilog tomorrow, Thursday, November 13 from 5-6 pm in room 295 at the Engineering Makerspace.

Due to the short notice, no RSVP is required, please drop in at the start time!

Recommended background is logic design in ECE 265. ECE 366 also requires some projects written in this language, therefore, this workshop may be beneficial if you plan to take that course in the near future, as we will also cover some topics that slightly overlap with 366. You will not need any software prior to the workshop.

Hii!🌴✨ My name is Michelle-Alice, I am the Webmaster for IEEE, I also study Bioengineering here at UIC! Nice to meet you! 🌊

Being a webmaster taught me on how to problem solve a range of issues, and finding creative ways to fix them.🤙🏻 Not to mention immersing with the larger framework such as the ecosystem of UIC and how they make their websites more efficiency and continuously adapting in newer ways to make it more user-friendly. 🌼 It's a cool position because I was able to connect our team, our members and the-world-wide-web from ground up.🕶️*

This past year really lives up in experience of a lifetime.I left to visit family during spring break when the sudden "emergency shut down" happen and I haven't came back since. 🙂 Along the way both me and my partner had the opportunity to help friends and family when we couldn't have had if we stayed in Chicago during the hardest hits of the pandemic. And while having online classes had it's highs and lows, it really help out on our part, and for that I'm grateful for. 🏞️🌌⛵ See you soon Chicago! 💕
