For weeks, I was painting the Carbide & Carbon Building from photos and memory… counting each window and mapping it out, and now, not even a month later, I’m standing on the 46th floor staring right into the green and gold palette I just put away.

I finally turned my Chicago paintings into something you can actually hold. Ten little gallery moments printed on thick archival cardstock, rounded corners, envelopes included, ready to mail or frame.

There’s a full set of ten, a set of five L trains, and a set of five architecture icons. It feels like a tiny Chicago retrospective you can carry in your bag.

Lake Street, Wrigley in 1935, the Conservatory, Marina City, the L rumbling overhead… all the places that make this city feel alive.

I dropped off my prints, cards and stickers at Hey, I Thought Of You - Chicago and the place is magic. It is one of those shops where every corner has a spark of creativity in it. The walls are filled with work from local artists, the craft table feels like a tiny creative universe of ideas, and there is a hot dog corner for Bonnie, the in-house shop dog who has the cutest litke bark
