Memorial Day is always a reminder to slow down for a moment.

Beyond the long weekend and the start of summer in Chicago, today is about honoring the men and women who gave their lives in service to this country.

Forever grateful for their sacrifice and the families who carry it with them every day.

Chicago summer officially starts this weekend!

From the Memorial Day Parade downtown to Bike the Drive, lakefront fireworks, the beach openings, and everything in between this is one of the best weekends of the year to be in Chicago.

There is so much to do, we decided to narrow down a few of our favorites:
🚴 Bike the Drive on Lake Shore Drive
🎆 Navy Pier fireworks Saturday night
⚾ Cubs vs. Astros at Wrigley (Karen’s favorite; we know Ivona favors the Sox 😊)
🏖️ Beach season officially begins
🎶 Memorial Day festivals all across the city

What’s your go-to Chicago summer tradition? Drop it in the comments or DM us your favorite hidden gem 👇

If you’re sitting around waiting for listing alerts to hit public websites… you’re probably shopping too late.

Over the last year, 43% of our listings sold off-market or before they ever fully hit the public market.

Not after weeks. Not after open houses. Before most buyers even knew they existed.

And honestly? This is becoming more normal in neighborhoods like West Town, Bucktown, Lincoln Park, and Lakeview.

The best homes are often moving through private tours, broker networks, and conversations happening quietly behind the scenes.

Meanwhile everyone else is wondering why all the good homes disappear immediately.

Because a lot of them were never truly public to begin with.

Most Chicago sellers still think pricing high leaves room to negotiate.

Right now, it’s usually doing the opposite.

The homes getting the strongest results in neighborhoods like West Town, Bucktown, Lakeview, and Lincoln Park are often the ones priced strategically from day one — creating urgency, traffic, and competition immediately.

Because buyers move differently now.

When a home feels overpriced, they hesitate.

When it feels like an opportunity, they move fast.

And that first week on the market? That’s everything.

In this market, strategy matters more than ego.

Some homes are well built. Others are genuinely well loved, and the difference is something you feel the moment you walk in.

This West Town all-masonry home has been cared for by its original owners since 2004. Three levels, five bedrooms, three and a half baths, and a layout that just makes sense. Freshly refinished hardwood floors, custom millwork, two wood-burning fireplaces, and a kitchen anchored by Wood-Mode Fine cabinetry, a large island, and mostly new appliances, all flowing naturally out to a deck made for long dinners and easy evenings.

Upstairs, the primary suite has its own private balcony, a whirlpool bath tub, and a separate steam shower. The secondary bedrooms are generous and flexible. The lower level, with a rec room, wet bar, and two additional bedrooms, feels open and livable, not like an afterthought.

Then there’s the outdoor space. Four of them, actually. A massive roof deck, a garage rooftop deck with a pergola, a kitchen deck, and that private balcony. There’s always somewhere to be outside, whether you’re hosting or just unwinding with nowhere to be.

Close to restaurants, parks, shops, and Mitchell Elementary. This is West Town living at its best.

POV: You just found the most stunning home in Ukrainian Village. 😮‍💨

We’re talking a top-to-bottom luxury renovation, that backyard you never thought you’d find in the city, and one of Chicago’s most beloved tree-lined streets.

Buyers - home like this don’t last. Sellers - THIS is what buyers are chasing right now.

DM for more info.

Ukrainian Village just got a good one. 🏡

5 beds | 4.1 baths | 30’ lot | 2-car garage + parking pad

This extra-wide brick single-family sits on one of the neighborhood’s most sought-after blocks, and the renovation was done with real intention - restored stained-glass entry door, coffered ceilings, quartzite kitchen with an oversized island, and a lower level with radiant-heated floors and full-height ceilings that feels like a bonus living space rather than an afterthought.
Every bedroom has a walk-in closet, there’s a dedicated office, a mudroom with built-ins, and the kind of layout where you stop mentally negotiating and just start picturing your furniture.

But it’s the backyard that makes this home next level - a lush lawn with multiple seating areas and a brick paver patio that makes it genuinely hard to go back inside. Fido approved. ☀️🐾

$675K in West Loop - and the location alone justifies the price.

Steps from Fulton Market, Soho House, and the Google hub. This is the neighborhood people move to Chicago for, and this unit puts you right in the middle of it.

Extra-wide layout, classic finishes that hold up over time, boutique walk-up building with only a handful of units. The kind of place that feels like a home, not a high-rise.

Garage parking included. Low HOA. First time on the market in a while.

If you’ve been renting in West Loop waiting for the right move - this might be it.
