Saturday’s performance is in a private home near the Ukrainian Village area of Chicago, and marks our first house concert since pre-Covid times! 🏡 And Sunday’s performance will be at in their Sanctuary Space. See you there!

We have our 2023-24 Season Closer coming up, on May 4 and 5! Our program showcases music for piano and wind instruments, that offers brief windows into diverse musical perspectives of four distinctive composers of classical music from the 20th and 21st centuries. We are excited to share the music of living composers Jenni Brandon, Valerie Coleman, and Gernot Wolfgang, in addition to a piece that is an old friend of ours, Heitor Villa-Lobos' Trio!

Chamber music involving piano is a cornerstone of our programming and the overall genre, and we have performed a fair number of works for piano trio over the years. Our featured artists wanted to share a few of our favorite piano trios, in addition to the ones we’re performing this weekend.

Whether you’re well familiar with these works or are hearing of them for the first time, we hope you enjoy listening to these gorgeous classics. 🎹 And, we look forward to having you join us this weekend!

Yesterday afternoon we came to Ravenswood Fellowship United Methodist Church, we saw to rehearsing our program, and we conquered said rehearsal! 🎶 This program is both delightful and a little provocative as well… We look forward to sharing it live in the West Loop Friday evening and back in Ravenswood Saturday at 7:30!

Earlier today we did a venue visit of Gottlieb Hall at … We’re excited to perform the first of our two March concerts in this beautiful and welcoming space. You can join us here next Friday the 22nd at 7pm! 🎹

Up Next: Of Ballad and Breath, March 22-23!

In our upcoming program, we are excited to share works by Antonín Dvořák, James Kallembach, and Reena Esmail that explore the concepts of ballad and breath in both musical and poetic forms. And in typical CCE fashion, you’ll be treated to music that is decadent, refreshing, and surprising, and includes newer works in addition to one of Dvořák’s most beloved works, the Dumky Trio!

We’re getting ready for our next concert, which is in partnership with … While we did some work today, we also made sure to get a selfie of our full group for the People of Our Page to see! We look forward to seeing you this coming Tuesday at 7:30pm Central in person at or in the virtual sphere through NMC’s YouTube channel.

We thoroughly enjoyed presenting our Season Opener a few weeks ago, and the people have spoken… The pairing of voice and oboe is a winning combination! 🤩
