Had a great morning fixing up bikes and learning about
Anyone who has a bike to donate can give to the Chicago Bike Project, where volunteers fix and distribute bicycles to communities in need. They also fit each bike with lights and a lock to make sure everyone can ride safe as the days get shorter in Chicago.

Locally owned businesses are the backbone of US economy. They create the bulk of the nation’s jobs, cultivate new innovation, and shape our communities’ personalities! Next time you think about purchasing from a big box store, reconsider and visit your local shop. Unlike most national retail chains, small businesses are better at adapting their products and services to meet their communities’ needs.

More room for biking and walking!
Chicago to allow ‘shared streets’ program for residents to walk and bike in neighborhoods Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s administration is planning to create several blocks of shared streets on the North and Northwest sides to give people more room to walk and bike while social distancing, according to published reports.

It is unfortunate but necessary to announce the postponement of what would have been our 4th annual Garden Gallery (originally scheduled for May 30, 2020) until there is more clarity around public health and safety. We are so grateful for the impact Garden Gallery has made in the last three years bringing artists, community leaders, and businesses together. We couldn’t do it without all of you, the great citizens of Chicago who passionately share their work with us each year.
