We have a vision of a world where helping hands care for others in times of crisis.

Our pursuit is to be there for people when it counts the most, and provide the direct assistance needed to create an immediate positive outcome.

The donations and funds that WeCanHelp Foundation (WCHF) raises goes directly to bettering the lives of children and teens. Such disbursement of funds includes but is not limited to, financial assistance for foster homes and orphanages, support for the Chicago Public Schools, as well as helping families in need with medical hardships. WCHF will also provide funding for other local charities whose mission coincides with ours.

We eliminate barriers, remove obstacles, offer prompt help, and expedite the vetting process. WCHF will take action and not miss critical opportunities to provide direct help to those in need.

OUR PROCESS:

Through a vast on-call volunteer network, WCHF quickly raises money through charity events, fundraisers, dinners, 5k races, private donations, and more. We leverage social media intelligently to create huge networks of volunteers that are not bound by state or time zone. WCHF then seeks out recipients who would be most immediately and directly helped by the process.

“Be the Reason Someone Believes In Good People”

Michael Melnick was fortunate enough to have great role models, his family was very close. His dad, a doctor, devoted his entire life to helping people. Selflessly while curing others, he silently was battling an incurable disease, Pancreatic Cancer. After a short violent fight the inevitable happened and unfortunately he passed on too soon. Michael was greatly affected by this tragedy. Burying the pain deep inside he pushed through adversity to try and be half the man his father was.

Years later Michael Melnick was still struggling to find his place in the world. By all accounts, he is a very successful business man with ventures that include the hospitality industry, real estate investments , technology and application development. Privately though, he felt a sense of unrest and inner agitation. He never fully connected with his work. The long days and nights spent becoming successful did not translate to inner fulfillment. This constant searching for happiness and meaning would lead Michael down numerous paths trying to find his passion

On June 16th of 2019 everything changed, sunlight would begin to shine through the darkest of shade. Michael had 2 blood clots travel through his heart and into his lungs as well as a third one in his heart. This caused heart, lungs, liver, and kidney failure. After one hospital exhausted their resources, he was airlifted by helicopter to another hospital that was preparing him for ECKO (a form of live support). He was then intubated and placed into a medically induced coma and wasn’t expected to make it.

Thirteen days had passed and Michael miraculously awoke from his coma with no permanent damage. After doctors filled him in on what had taken place, an extreme sense of guilt took control. To him, it wasn’t fair that he survived while others don’t even have a fighting chance.

Guilt would soon be replaced by passion and the sense of unrest he felt was gone. He was now intently focused on helping and serving others in need
