Flowering Fields Designs creates whimsical floral art printed as unique greeting cards and stickers. Original art is created using dip pens and tiny brushes.
Flowering Fields Designs features the original artwork of Jackie Barron. The colors are a combination of old inks such as iron gall and walnut ink, India inks, and new inks such as those made by Ziller and Nicker.

Introducing Dahlias & Poppies in Barrel (DPB). This design began as the continuation of my Mother's Day card theme with the peach poppies and pink/red/violet dahlias that I have used each year since my original Mother's Day design in 2023.
When I start a new piece, I assemble a collage of images that inspire me or have an element I want to study and perhaps include in my new design. The second image shows my collage for DPB: barrels used as vases that I referenced (found on the internet), the picture of an Odilon painting that I took at the Art Institute of Chicago, and several shots of dahlias from my garden.
The next pictures show my process from rough sketch to inked outline that I colorize with specially blended inks. The butterflies are created separately and photoshopped into the design.
Dahlias and Poppies in Barrel is available as a Mother's Day card, a card with no message, and a Happy Birthday card. These cards are available at my upcoming markets or order online at FloweringFieldsDesigns.com.
