Meet the artist:

EDWARDO RIOS, VIOLA

Edwardo Rios is a freelance violist based in the Dallas area. A Texas native, he has performed with several prominent orchestras, including the National Repertory Orchestra, where he served as Principal Viola. He has also performed with the Grant Park Symphony Orchestra, Fort Worth Symphony, Houston Symphony, Seattle Symphony, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. In 2024, Edwardo was awarded First Prize in the string division of the SOPA competition.

Ed has been a friend of Pilsen Classical since 2021, when he became besties with Allie and Eve at chamber music sight reading parties in Eve’s apartment. He is such a fun performer to watch on stage and we are SO lucky to have him with us for September 6 at the . Get your tickets in our bio, you don’t want to miss Edwardo!

🎶 Musician announcement:

✨SHALEAH FEINSTEIN, VIOLIN✨

Shaleah Feinstein is a New York-based violinist who currently serves as a substitute with The Metropolitan Opera and the New York Philharmonic. She was also contracted with the San Francisco Opera in the summer of 2023. Since earning her master’s degree at The Juilliard School, she has been Jon Batiste’s violinist and string contractor, performs as principal second violin of the Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra, and plays with a range of orchestras across the city. She is also a member of Joshua Bell’s new ensemble, Chamber Orchestra of America. Her recording credits span film and album projects, including songs for Stevie Wonder and Machine Gun Kelly, and she has performed alongside artists such as Ed Sheeran, Halsey, and Kygo.

Shaleah has ties to Chicago and has been friends with Allie since 2018 when they were both students at the Cleveland Institute of Music, after learning they both moved from Chicago to Cleveland for grad school. When they’re together they love to thrift, so we’re definitely going to take Shaleah around to all the good spots in Pilsen! ✨Join us under the stars to say goodbye to summer with a musical night full of sentimentality and dazzling bohemian flair! This is a goodbye to summer, and a new hello to our Pilsen community! Known for our spontaneous and intimate chamber music gatherings, we at Pilsen Classical present this program as a way of reintroducing ourselves to Pilsen and sharing music and community with the neighborhood that has embraced us. Come enjoy community, a beautiful summer night, and exciting live music! 🎶
