Weight loss is simple.
It took me over 10 years to finally realize that.
Losing 66lbs — only to gain it back.
Spending thousands on meal replacements — just to not know what to eat in the real world.
Buying tons of weight loss supplements — without even knowing if they were truly working.
Tons of cardio — just to injure myself and gain the weight back.

We decided to try a local Greek spot and it was actually good!
As I sit here, I can’t help but think about how far I’ve come.
The old me would’ve made this out to be a whole thing!
“Oh my God, they have carbs. What should I do?”
“How am I going to weigh this and I forgot my scale at home?”
“I know I’m not supposed to be eating this.”
“Now I’m going to have to start over on Monday.”
“I’ll get on the treadmill tonight to make up for it.”
I’d feel guilty for a sec, eat until I was stuffed and then feel bad.
It was a constant cycle because I always thought I shouldn’t even like food — if I wanted to lose weight.
Now, I’m able to enjoy the food.
I mean truly enjoy the flavors, how it was cooked and even the atmosphere.
Simply because I focused on my behaviors that were causing me to gain weight.
Which is how I was able to finally lose 88lbs and keep it off for over 5 years.

Early morning walk with the fam —- hubby, baby, Smoke and Skye.
Years ago, I used to think that I needed to exercise for hours if I wanted to lose weight.
That only ended with me injuring myself.
Now I let my nutrition do the heavy lifting.
And exercise for health.
The result? Shorter workouts. Better consistency.
And it’s easy for me to get everyone onboard ❤️

The difference between losing weight and keeping it off is simple.
Lose weight = on (ie on a diet, weight loss plan, etc)
Keeping it off = always on (even when you’ve reached your weight loss goal, business picks up, you’re traveling, etc)
The problem is you’ve learned how to lose weight but not to actually keep it off.
So you spend your time going through the cycle:
Lose weight - gain it back - rinse - repeat
You don’t break out of it with more willpower.
You break out of it by finally learning how to always be on.
