After two incredible years of sharing our pastries with you all, today marked our last day at Side Practice Coffee (.coffee). ⁠

We are beyond grateful to every customer who supported us, bought pastries, and played such an instrumental role in our journey. Without your unwavering support, we wouldn’t have been able to take the next step and open our brick-and-mortar bakery. ⁠

A huge thank you to Francis Almeda (.almeda) for creating a space where so many of us could grow, thrive, and uplift one another. So many businesses like ours owe our success to him. We are also deeply grateful to Maria Meade (), who was the first to believe in us and set up our very first pop-up—she will be joining Del Sur Bakery as our Creative Director, and we couldn’t be more excited! ⁠

To the rest of the Side Practice crew, both past and present, who handled the chaos with such grace—thank you for everything. Your hard work and energy kept us going, day after day. Reflecting on our time at Side Practice, we’ve learned the importance of community and supporting one another and creating space for everyone to grow. ⁠

As we get closer to opening our brick-and-mortar location, we invite you to follow us on this exciting new chapter. Thank you all for being a part of this journey—we can’t wait to share more with you soon! ⁠

The air is rich in Zamboanga, Del Sur, Philippines — it’s here that the essence of our pastries begin, inspired by tradition and memories created with love and resilience.

Throughout our discovery and research for our brand’s identity, we established a tone that is warm and inviting, while also sophisticated and intentional.

Our primary logo includes elements that reflect the care and creativity behind each pastry. It’s a nod to delicate garnishes, familiar flavors, hand-written notes and strokes reminiscent of Baybayin script.

The color palette provides a clear connection to our story—drawing inspiration from the lush landscapes and flavors of the Philippines, as well as Justin’s background as a ceramicist and talented pastry chef.

Welcome to Del Sur Bakery — Coming to Lincoln Square Early 2025.
