Sweet heart

Phoebe Ulbrick
The heart is a metaphor for my own heart and the term “sweet heart”
Within my life my heart and kindness has been taken advantage of and I’ve let it happen because of reoccurring trauma and abuse.
This sweet heart resembles my giving nature and how it usually gets me taken advantage of and the over arching theme of abuse and manipulation in domestic relationships
The platter also feeds into the narrative that I hand over my heart to anyone and most everyone
My innate empathy usally ends up hurting me but it is such a central part of me I cannot be who I am without it. Just like one cannot life without a heart.
Such a central organ in our body but it is so fragile shows the depth of humanity in each individual.
One of my artist missions is to inspire vulnerability within everone who see my work so they can connect with it, because I belive that vulnerability within art inspires connection.
So even though it is a tough subject for me to make an art peice on it is very important that I am a vulnerable person.
