We are so excited to introduce our Interim Co-Executive Director, Yaz!
Yul Ailea Stites (Yaz) is a multidisciplinary shapeshifter whose body of work flings itself nine generations in every direction. Their oeuvre centers masking, narrative, and embodied practice for speculative worldbuilding and justice-based futures. Having presented original work at the International Association of Blacks in Dance, the Library of Congress, and the Collegium for African Diaspora Dance, they come to Gender Fu**ed Productions rooted in rhythm, history, and radical imagination. As an administrator and teaching artist, they have built programs for accessible arts education in Bronzeville and elsewhere on the South Side through the Harold Washington Cultural Center, Senses to Soul School of Music, and the Making A Difference Dancing Rhythms Organization (M.A.D.D.
