This Lovely and Rare Baluch Bag Chanteh Pair is from Khorasan region of Persia bordering Afghanistan.
Made to keep personal belongings most likely in the Torbat-e Heydarieh area of Northeastern Khorasan.
Often bag pairs end up being sold separately so this is a wonderful find to have both together.
19th century – circa 1890.
One of the pairs is about 10 1/2″ x 10″ – 27 x 25 cm and the other is 10 1/2″ x 11″ – 27 x 28 cm.

Shahsavan Soumak Zoomorphic Bagface.

This Beautiful Antique Shahsavan Soumak Zoomorphic Bagface is from Southern Caucasus, Persian Azerbaijan region. Well drawn Fantastic Double- Headed Animals in the field framed by a Dragon pattern main border. Lovely all natural colors including a nice purple.

19th century – circa 1870-75.

SOLD Turkmen Tekke Purple Torba 44″ x 17″ – 112 x 43 cm

This Super Fine Turkmen Tekke Nine Gul Chuval is from Southern Turkmenistan in Central Asia. The Nine Turret Gul pattern is quite rare in my experience and as a matter of fact this is the first example I have ever found but that doesn’t mean there aren’t published examples that have skipped my attention.
19th century – circa 1850-60.
48″ x 33″ – 122 x 84 cm.
