Su***de Prevention Week | September 13–19

At Reprieve Wraparound Services, we believe every life matters, every voice deserves to be heard, and no one should have to face their hardest moments alone.

Su***de prevention starts with awareness. Knowing the warning signs, checking in when something doesn’t seem right, and simply being willing to listen can make a difference.

💜 Check in on the people you love.
💜 Take changes in behavior or mood seriously.
💜 Listen without judgment.
💜 Remind someone they are not alone.
💜 Know when and where to reach out for help.

Sometimes one conversation, one person, or one moment of connection can help someone choose tomorrow.

If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

Thank you for creating and sharing this important resource to help our communities recognize the warning signs and know how to respond. 💜

💜🩵 DAY 7 | SU***DE PREVENTION MONTH

This week we’ve talked about warning signs, asking the question, listening, and what to do when someone says yes.

➡️KNOW THE SIGNS. 👇
Withdrawal. Hopelessness. Feeling like a burden. Increased substance use. Giving things away. Reckless behavior. Major sleep or mood changes. Talking about death or su***de.

And remember, sometimes there are no obvious signs. 💔

➡️ASK DIRECTLY

“Are you thinking about su***de?”
🚨Asking does not put the idea in their head.

➡️LISTEN

Don’t immediately try to fix it. Try: “I’m glad you told me. I’m here. We’ll figure out the next step together.”

➡️KNOW WHAT TO DO NEXT.

💜 Stay with them if you’re concerned about their safety and reduce access to potentially lethal means.

📱 988 — Crisis support and guidance. Parents can call too.

🚨 911 / ER — Immediate danger, an attempt, emergency medical care, or you cannot keep them safe.

👉If they’re struggling but not in immediate danger, follow up with their psychiatrist, therapist or mental health provider.👈

And parents trust the concern that made you ask in the first place.🩵

You don’t have to wait until there’s an attempt. You don’t have to wait until they have a plan. And you don’t have to be 100% sure something is wrong before you reach for help.

🚨Ask sooner. Check again. Make the call.🚨

And if you don’t know what comes next, connect with our Wings of Resilience support group. We can’t replace professional care, but we can help you navigate what can feel like an incredibly overwhelming system.

Save this. Send it to another parent. And don’t wait for a crisis to learn what to do in one. 💜🦋

September is here, and we’re Rooted in Support 🍂🌿

A new season can bring new routines, new challenges, and new opportunities to grow. This month, we’re focusing on progress over perfection—building healthy routines, supporting emotional wellness, staying connected, and celebrating the little wins along the way. 💚

Remember: small, consistent steps can lead to big change. You don’t have to do it all at once, and you don’t have to do it alone.

🍁 Save or share our September Rooted in Support for helpful resources, family tips, self-care reminders, and a little encouragement for the month ahead.

Real Support. Real Connections. Real Change. 🌱
