It also sparked a conversation on ADHD rats… I made a video explaining that if you scroll on my page :) TLDR/Original Caption ⬇️ New study (PMID: 40752585) on methylphenidate (ADHD stimulant medication) released. It tested healthy rats, healthy rats artificially inflamed, and ADHD model rats with methylphenidate and assessed the retinal neural cell tissues. They found that methylphenidate impacts retinal cells differently depending on if the environment is inflammatory or not (AKA healthy rats got worse body changes, ADHD + inflamed rats improved oxidative stress and mitochondrial function). Essentially, we knew for about 10 years now that people with ADHD statistically improve oxidative stress when they take methylphenidate. We didn’t know WHY exactly, and this study is a breakthrough to help us figure out that answer! Caveats: this is a rat study, not human study. It was also done specifically with the retinal neural cell tissue, not the general body so the current focus is just with eye tissue. These things, as always, need to be replicated. However, it gives us insight into how methylphenidate might be working beyond dopamine! ________________ Hey! If No → Prioritize safety and support, not moral blame. If Yes → Have they taken responsibility or shown remorse? If No → There are consequences for the relationship in question. From October 31 to November 2, anyone impacted by the government shutdown and in need of a meal can visit a Taco John's location and request the Community Support Special to receive one beef or bean burrito and one Jr. Potato Olés®. The special is available 9 AM - 11 PM each day.

In addition, the Taco John's Foundation will donate to local food banks for every Taco Bravo® sold on Thursday, November 6.
