When we got a call that this handsome boy came in just now to ACCT Philly, we didn’t hesitate. Preston sadly is a Code Red due to a traumatic leg amputation. We will spare you the graphic pictures because they are pretty horrific.
We are happy to say that he is already on his way to emergency hospital for care and thanks to an incredibly generous and kind friend, his medical bills will be covered in full.
We do not know what happened to him to cause this injury but we will make sure that rest of his life is safe and full of love and care.

Meet Brick!
Brick is a 3-year-old German Shepherd weighing in at about 48 pounds, who was picked up by ACCT Philly as a stray. While the shelter can be an overwhelming place, Brick quickly showed that with a little patience (and peanut butter!), he’s more than willing to let his guard down and start building trust.
This handsome boy can be a bit timid at first, taking in the world with ears back, tail low, and a watchful eye on his surroundings. But underneath that nervous exterior is a truly sweet dog who wants to connect. Once given some reassurance, Brick begins to relax - his body softens, his eyes grow gentler, and he’ll happily come over for attention (especially if you’ve got snacks in hand!).
Brick is incredibly food motivated, which makes him a great candidate for continued training and confidence-building. He already knows “sit” and responds well to gentle guidance and positive reinforcement. In quieter environments, he shows his progress, seeking out affection, settling more easily, and showing glimpses of the confident dog he’s working hard to become.
Since coming into our care, Brick has continued to decompress and adjust, showing more of his personality each day. He’s a good boy with a lot of potential, just waiting for the right family to help him feel safe and supported.
Brick is looking for a patient, understanding home that will give him the time and space he needs to fully blossom. In return, you’ll get a loyal and loving companion who will grow more confident with every day by your side.
He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested.

Meet Lola!
Lola is a 6-year-old, 10-pound mixed breed cutie with a big personality packed into her tiny frame. She originally came to ACCT Philly after her previous family reported that she got loose and bit a neighbor’s pants, no injuries or broken skin were reported. We saw a bright, adorable little lady who deserved a second chance and were happy to welcome her into our care.
In her previous home, Lola lived with children as young as 6 years old and was described as very sweet, cheerful, and playful. Since being with us, she has continued to show her friendly side and has enjoyed positive interactions with our team. She’s also had successful dog meets both at ACCT and in our care.
Like many small dogs, Lola has a big personality and appreciates people who understand her and respect her boundaries. She’s not a fan of cats, so she’s looking for a feline-free home. At this time, out of an abundance of caution, we are seeking an adult-only home where she can continue to feel safe and supported.
Lola is looking for a loving family ready to give her the second chance she deserves, and to embrace all the joy, sass, and affection that come with a tiny dog with a big heart.
She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. She is also scheduled to get a dental evaluation and will receive the dental as the vet deems necessary.

Meet Front!
At just 2 years old and a petite 8.5 pounds, Front is a tiny Chihuahua mix navigating a very big world. Originally brought to ACCT Philly as a stray, we couldn’t resist giving this little guy a fresh start and welcoming him into our care.
Life has been full of changes for Front, and it hasn’t always been easy. He can be a bit wary of new people at first, it’s hard being a small pup when everything around you feels uncertain. But behind that cautious exterior is a sweet boy who truly wants to trust. With a little time, patience, and understanding, Front blossoms into a loving and loyal companion. Once he feels safe, his gentle personality shines, especially with the volunteers he’s come to know and adore.
Front is looking for a patient, loving home that will let him take things at his own pace and build confidence in his own time. In the right environment, this brave little boy will continue to grow and thrive.
If you’re ready to help a tiny pup feel safe in a big world, Front is waiting to meet you. At this time, we believe a home with no kids would be best.
He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested.

Meet Leila
Leila is an almost 4-year-old, 21 lbs. Cocker Spaniel with the most stunning look, her deep chocolate coat and striking one brown and one blue eye make her truly unforgettable. But as beautiful as she is on the outside, it’s her sweet, gentle spirit that completely steals your heart.
Surrendered from a commercial breeder in Lancaster when she was no longer wanted, Leila is now getting her chance at the life she always deserved. She may be a little timid at first, often low-crawling her way over for pets, but it’s all part of her incredibly endearing, gentle nature. Once she knows she’s safe, she melts into affection and shows just how loving and social she really is. She’s an absolute sweetheart, truly a little squish you can’t help but fall in love with.
Leila has been diagnosed with a 3/6 heart murmur, which is not uncommon for the breed. At this time, she does not require any medication or treatment, but her future family should be mindful and continue to monitor it with their veterinarian.
This special girl is looking for a patient, loving home that will help her build confidence and shower her with the affection she clearly craves. In return, Leila will offer endless sweetness, quiet companionship, and those soulful, unforgettable eyes that will follow you everywhere.
She is so easy to love and we know her perfect forever family is out there, ready to adore her just as much as we do.
She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested.

Meet Grayson
Grayson is a 3-year-old, 28 lbs. merle French Bulldog with a one-of-a-kind look and an equally special personality. He was surrendered by his owner to ACCT Philly and later transferred to us when he needed a little extra care and support.
This handsome guy has lived with other dogs in the past, though we were told there were some scuffles in the home that led to his surrender. At the shelter, however, he showed much better social skills and had a positive dog meet, so we believe with the right introductions and management, he has the potential to coexist with other dogs. Any interested adopters with resident pups will need to do a proper meet-and-greet to ensure a good fit. He will be happy as an only dog.
Grayson is a sweet, nice boy with a medium energy level. He’s both housetrained and crate trained, per his prior family. Despite arriving to us with some wounds that needed tending, he has handled everything like a champ.
Like many Frenchies, especially merle, Grayson may be more prone to certain health concerns. He came to us with bacterial ear infections, but the good news is they’ve been treated and are already improving. He also has atypical heart murmur, that the vet believes is due to positioning typical for the breed. His future family should be prepared for the possibility of ongoing care and the general health needs commonly associated with Frenchies.
Grayson is looking for a patient, understanding home that will continue to support him, give him stability, and shower him with the love he deserves. In return, he’ll offer plenty of sweetness, loyalty, and that signature Frenchie charm that’s impossible not to fall for.
He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested.

Meet Ace Man
Ace Man is a 9-month-old, 47 lbs. shepherd mix with all the best puppy energy wrapped up in a smart, eager-to-learn package. He found his way to ACCT Philly after his family didn't want him anymore, but their loss is truly someone else's gain.
This handsome boy has been described as busy, active, smart, and we couldn't agree more. Ace Man loves a good game of tug-of-war, thrives on playtime, and already knows several commands -he's clearly a quick learner who enjoys having a job to do. He's mostly housetrained, has lived with kids as young as 10 years old, and is an all-around happy, fun-loving guy. Give him a bone or a durable chew toy, and he's in his element.
Ace Man is looking for a committed forever family that's ready to continue guiding him through his puppyhood. With consistency, structure, and ongoing training, he is going to grow into an amazing companion. Meet Trixie
Trixie is a stunning 5 1/2-year-old, 76 lbs. Golden Retriever with a heart full of love and a gentle, easy-going spirit. She was surrendered by a Lancaster breeder when she was no longer wanted, but we quickly welcomed her into rescue. It didn't take long to see just how special she is.
Her breeder described her as a happy, sweet girl who gets along well with other dogs, and we are happy to confirm that it is absolutely true. Trixie truly is the goodest girl. She has a calm, loving presence and an affectionate nature that makes her an instant favorite with everyone she meets.
Trixie is the perfect example of why we adore mature dogs- she is past the puppy chaos and brings a steady, gentle companionship that is simply unmatched. She would thrive in a home that appreciates her kind soul, enjoys her loving personality, and is ready to treat her like the cherished family member she deserves to be.

Jody is a beautiful 5-year-old, 94 lbs. creme Labrador with a heart as soft as her coat. After spending her life with a breeder, she was surrendered when she was no longer wanted. Thankfully, she didn't have to wait long before finding her way to us.
This gentle girl is as sweet as they come. Jody has a calm, loving presence and seems happiest when she is close to her people.
