Had a great time seeing everyone yesterday!

Today I spent the morning out canvassing Swain County areas for support and to gauge the issues for folks in the county. It was great to speak to people and hear their concerns.

I hope to be able to get some campaign materials as the summer comes on. But for now, here’s a picture of my handmade card! Made quickly but with a lot of heart!

Today, I made it to two community events.

The first was the EBCI 2026 Rainbows and Ramps. I helped serve food to the visitors and the community. It was a lot of fun and it was great to see everyone!

The second was the No Kings III protest in Bryson City. I was able to walk around and take notes of the issues which regular community members felt were important. I spoke to nearly 20 people one-on-one today.

Last night I visited with the Swain County Democratic Party at Anthony’s pizza. Discussion included the current state of air travel, insurance premiums, price hikes on energy - propane and electric, and opportunities for the county to draw in outside support for entities like the hospital and public works.

Tomorrow, 3/28, I will be here in Cherokee at the Rainbows and Ramps event for the morning. Then in the afternoon at Bryson City for the No Kings III rally. I’ll have my name tag on, so if you see me feel free to say “hi!”

Thank you, Swain County voters who have voted for me to continue on to the November general election.

I appreciate Bradley Hall and Erika Smith for putting their names on the primary ballot. Thanks to Bradley for touching on issues important to voters and the work he continues to do. I hope Erika and I can show the voters that the Democratic vote is the way forward for Swain County. I’m sure our experiences, professionalism, and character can support that!

Get out and vote today! Early voting is happening today at the Birdtown Complex - the Peaches Squirrel Sports and Rec Center.

I will be at the Yellowhill Activity Center from 12:30 to 1:30pm today for the Democratic candidate meet and greet! Stop by and pick my brain about the issues.

Today is the first day of early voting! I hope everyone can take the time to wander down to your local polling place to make your voices heard.
