Blue Ridge Run

Update.
The 2022 Blue Ridge Run canceled.

A month ago, we learned of the immediate plan to tear down the canopy over the stage and begin an extensive remodel of the Cherokee Indian Fairgrounds, the work, without doubt, is drastically overdue but does leave large events without a suitable venue for possibly the next 2 years...

There’s no guarantee that the newly remodeled fairgrounds will be suitable or even available to us when it’s completed - a situation similar to when we held the Blue Ridge Run rally in 2010 (and 2011) as part of the 75th anniversary of the Blue Ridge Parkway at the WNC Ag center in Asheville which they remodeled in 2012...

So... We’re looking for a new “home” which may mean a different date and change of format in 2023.

A BIG Thanks to everyone for your past support, hope y’all had as much fun as we did in Cherokee and can join us again wherever we land.

The 4th Annual Cherokee Blue Ridge Run

Saturday the 11th was Ride-In Bike Show day and as usual the PEREWITZ PAINT SHOW was outstanding in the quality of all the entries.

A GREAT day of Bike shows on Saturday as perfect weather tempted many of the Born to Ride, Choppertown Invitational bikes outside to mingle with the Blue Ridge Runs Ride - In.

Cherokee Blue Ridge Runs usual emcee Jay Allen was setting world records out in Bonneville UT this year and couldn’t join us for our 4th Annual Rally & Races.

Well done Jay, 4 World records in the name of Veterans of America Racing.

Y’all do GREAT work Jay, Dustin and Josh, see ya soon.

Makoto Endo will be live painting a Fire Department edition Harley Davidson, transformed into a tribute to the 343 NYFD men and women killed in the attack on the twin towers on 9/11 2001

Endo a resident of NY City for 30 years experienced first hand the fall of the towers, remembering still the taste of smoke, the smell of burning metal and how a thick layer of acrid dust covered Lower Manhattan...

Please stop by the fairgrounds exhibition hall to check out the display put together by bike owner retired firefighter Mr Carl McCluskey and take a moment to reflect...
