The Cheney Police Department participated in the Thanksgiving Safe Arrival campaign November 21 through December 1.
The campaign was a statewide effort to encourage seatbelt use to save lives and reduce crashes and fatalities during the holiday season.

Cheney Police Department worked 18 hours of enforcement
🚨Made 20 traffic stops
🚨Issued 4 Seatbelt Notice to Appears
🚨Issued 16 other Notice to Appears

The Police Department will participate in the Taking Down DUI Campaign beginning Dec 26th focused on removing impaired drivers from the road during the holiday.

Thank you to KDHE for the Waste Tire Grant to purchase picnic tables for our new park shelter at the sports complex on South Main Street! They look great and we can’t wait to see the community utilize this new area!

The City's brush site is currently locked. You will need to get a key from City Hall to access the brush site. When placing your tree limbs at the site, place your limbs in the new brush pile away from the ashes. Do not put your limbs on the pile of ash.
