Christmas Party Fun!

Christmas program

K-1 learned about another rainforest animal...red-eyed tree frogs. We marble-painted some to add to our hallway rainforest.

MVPS came and helped students make stars and bake puff pastries!

Mrs. Fry's 5-8th grade class had fun making gingerbread houses and decorating Christmas cookies!

As a school, we went out to Farmer Shelby's to feed the pigs and release ladybugs. Of course, we learned a lot and got to taste a few goodies as well. Thank you Shelby Lynn Beyer

5th-8th graders did some work with taxonomy models.

K-1 learned about one of the animals in the rainforest: blue morpho butterfly. We colored them, wrote some facts, and did some symmetry smear painting.

After the dinner, classes presented a short program.
K-1: countdown to Thanksgiving
2-4: Thankful
5-8: An day in the life of a Pilgrim
All students sang a song to end our evening.

A lot of time in the kitchen prepping for our Thanksgiving Dinner. Students helped make honey butter, strawberry jam, applesauce, cranberries, rolls, pies, stuffing, and mashed potatoes. It all turned out yummy!

2nd - 4th graders continued their journey across the US, with a stop in Ohio. They enjoyed Cincinnati chili, hot dogs, and Buckeyes.

We finished up decorations and getting ready for our Thanksgiving Dinner this Friday!
