Question:: even if there will be one mated queen with the nuc, could I split this nuc of bees into two separate horizontal hives?? 5 frames brood ect and three empty frames with the queen into one hive. Leave the nuc with the remaining 4 frame s in that nuc sitting under the lid cover of the other horizontal( or in it with the lid partially open for a day or two with the nuc entrance still closed for ventilati on). Open and install the 4 frames of brood ect.. with an empty frame first followed by the 4 frames from the nuc and another two empty frames follo wed by the follower board. Sugar water with hivealive both split colonies until the nectar flow really hits good. And presume that the queenless spli t would rear their own queen to mate with another drone from outside their hive????
My two hives would be maybe 100' from each other right by a pond. Or am I rushing things.
I hope to set up a couple 10 frame deeps close by( 200') by my two horizontals to use for a couple splits next spring.for my own queen stock( double deeps as the colonies have at least 80% of all the frames drawn out to prevent swarming. I am prett y sure I can capture a swarm of wild bees back of my house next spring--- I smelled the honey a couple of times in the wind this spring/ summer.

As of now it seems the website has been fixed and can now use priority mail as a shipping option. Which means, preorders for 2022 packages will allow shipping once again.
We are aware of our website having technical difficulties with shipping options. The option for priority mail isn't showing. We are working on the issue. If you are trying to place an order and you want priority mail, which is the cheapest option for smaller items , you can still place order on website and we will refund the difference in shipping cost back or you can call the store.
