Some quick detail tips for those interior parts that scratch super easily, such as “Piano Black” trim and plastic instrument clusters:

1. Never “buff” or apply pressure when cleaning/wiping.
2. Try to dust them first.
3. Use a super soft microfiber towel with either a dedicated interior cleaner, or distilled water in a spray bottle (always spray the towel, not your dash) and gently wipe clean and dry.

Bird bombs can turn from a gross annoyance to an acidic nightmare quickly. The longer they are on your paint, the more they'll "etch" or corrode your paint. While the etching can be fixed, it's better (and cheaper) to wipe or hose them off as soon as you can.
