Real talk on harnessing your athletic drive for clarity, focus, and consistency in business and life. You’ve set goals and maybe even set records. I get it.
You’ve definitely failed and at some point found yourself questioning if you were on the right track. You work hard, but you aren’t quite where you want to be. And to be honest, you’re not sure exactly where you want to be let alone how to get there. You need time to figure out what comes next, but there just aren’t enough hours in the day. Or maybe you don’t even have a framework to figure out wh

Happy Easter!
Hope today gives you some time to slow down, be with your people, and take in what matters most.
Easter is a good reminder that even after hard seasons, hope is still there.
Wishing you and your family a great Easter Sunday.

A lot of what we value most (grit, faith, leadership, love) came from the women in our lives.
Moms. Wives. Coaches. Teachers. Friends. Mentors.
Happy Women’s History Month!
I know I would not be who I am today without them.

On MLK Day, I’m not just thinking about a speech. I’m thinking about a standard.
A standard of truth, courage, and refusing to accept “that’s just how it is.”
Honor the legacy today with something practical: listen harder, serve someone, speak up when it would be easier to stay quiet.

Three years ago today I was standing at the Spartan Leadership Retreat, mic in hand, thinking, “Alright Jim… don’t screw this up.” 😄
But once I got rolling, it was one of those moments that just sticks with you. The energy in that room was different. Not hype for hype’s sake, but real leaders who actually live what they preach, get uncomfortable on purpose, and pull more out of themselves than they thought they had.
Huge thanks to for the invite and for building something that’s more than a brand. Spartan is a standard. It’s a reminder that the hard thing is usually the right thing.
Grateful for that experience, and grateful for the people I met there.

A new year doesn’t mean everything changes overnight— but it does feel like a deep breath and a fresh start.
Grateful for where I’ve been, the people who walked alongside me, and all the ways God showed up this year.
Heading into the next season hopeful and open to what’s ahead.
What’s one small intention you’re setting for the year ahead?

Anyone else feel like Christmas is a mix of chaos, joy, loud laughter, and quiet gratitude?
Feeling thankful for my people, the memories being made, and the reason we celebrate— Jesus.
Sending lots of love your way this Christmas and heading into the New Year with a full heart! Merry Christmas!
What’s one thing you’re especially grateful for this season?

Taking a minute today to appreciate the simple stuff— laughing with family, a warm meal, and a reason to slow down.
Gratitude doesn’t have to be big or loud. Sometimes it’s just noticing the moments we usually rush past. Hope today gives you plenty of those moments.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Some of the biggest wins I’ve seen from clients have nothing to do with “working harder.”
One doubled his net worth.
Another went from owning 1 business to 5.
Another doubled his business and created more time for his family.
Not because they slept less, hustled more, or “found motivation.”
But because they finally stopped trying to do everything alone.
When you’re already working hard — busy, stretched, juggling work and family — the answer is never more effort.
It’s strategy.
It’s knowing which levers to pull.
It’s having someone outside the jar who can actually read the label.
Most men stay stuck because they keep grinding in the same direction… hoping it’ll magically lead somewhere different.
If you don’t want to wake up a year from now saying
“I thought I’d be further along,”
hit pause.
Comment CLARITY below and I’ll help you identify the exact levers to pull — the ones that create results without burning you out.
Let’s make your next chapter the one you’ve been aiming at. 💪
This is your reminder that world class performers do not go alone. It’s never just about talent. It’s about clarity, structure, and support.
So here’s the real question.
What are you trying to accomplish that you keep running into the same walls with?
Where are you trying to grow but staying stuck because you’re doing it on your own?
Even the best don’t do it alone.
Comment CLARITY if you’re ready to stop going solo.
It’s officially been 11 years since I stepped onto that red TEDx circle and shared a message that shaped my entire life: “Failure is not the opposite of success. It’s the path to it.”
My talk, Teaching Kids to Fail, came from years on the wrestling mat. ACC Championships. Training at the Olympic Training Center. Competing for Team USA.
But the real lessons didn’t come from the wins. They came from the losses, the setbacks, the moments I questioned if I was even on the right path.
A decade later, that message feels more relevant than ever.
Failure still teaches us.
Struggle still shapes us.
Setbacks still carve out the strength we need for what comes next.
If you’ve never watched it, or if you need a reminder that failure doesn’t disqualify you, it shapes you, here’s to revisiting a message that continues to matter.
Here’s to 10 years of falling, learning, getting back up, and teaching the next generation to do the same. 💪💪
