Shout out to Bea Johnson for the REN (response to essential needs) Event at Charlottesville High School. This event allowed families to drive through the CHS parking lot and pick up bags with hygiene kits, activity kits and free clothing. I was blessed to distribute culturally compensate books to all of the families and UVA provided free Covid testing. Charlottesville City Schools Student and Family Engagement Team, CCS staff and volunteers, in partnership with United Way Of Greater Charlottesville, created an event that truly brought many people together!
