Today marks the anniversary of D-Day, the largest seaborne invasion in history—and a turning point in the fight for freedom.
On this day in 1944, thousands of Allied troops stormed the beaches of Normandy with courage that shaped the course of history. We honor their bravery, their sacrifice, and the legacy they left behind.
Let us not only remember their actions—but strive to live in a way that’s worthy of them.
America is hope.
It is compassion.
It is excellence.
It is valor. 🇺🇸
A reminder of who we are — and who we can continue to be.

NEW PROJECT SPOTLIGHT
Veterans Collaborative is excited to welcome True North Leadership Academy as a new fiscally sponsored project within our ecosystem.
Serving the Colorado Springs community, True North Leadership Academy is focused on developing the next generation of leaders through leadership education, mentorship, and supervised real-world application for middle and high school students.
By combining mentorship, service, accountability, and hands-on learning, the program is helping young people build confidence, character, and leadership skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
We are proud to support their mission and the impact they are creating for youth and families in their community.
Veterans Collaborative serves active-duty service members, Veterans, and their families by increasing access to vital support, resources, and opportunity at the local community level.
We believe community is the missing link.
Every day, we work alongside nonprofit leaders, partners, volunteers, and communities to help ensure those who served — and the families who serve beside them — have greater access to connection, support, and opportunity.
Because support is strongest when communities come together.

Big missions need strong infrastructure.
Veterans Collaborative Fiscal Sponsorship Program exists to help Veteran and military-connected leaders launch, grow, and strengthen impactful initiatives without having to build everything alone.
From compliance and financial oversight to mentorship, partnerships, and operational support — we help mission-driven leaders focus on what matters most: serving their communities.
Because community impact should not be limited by access to infrastructure.
Today and every day, may we not only remember the fallen, but also reflect on the enduring responsibility that comes with their sacrifice — to care for one another, support those who served, and never forget the cost of freedom.
A nation’s greatness is measured by how well it cares for those who have sacrificed so much for its safety and freedom.
Freedom has never been free.
We owe our freedom to their bravery.
Today, we honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Their courage, sacrifice, and legacy will never be forgotten.
We remember.

Sacrifice in military life often happens quietly. It's in the birthdays missed, the uncertain nights, the long stretches of distance. It's in the decision to serve when it would be easier not to—and in the courage to carry the weight of duty, even when no one is watching.
What’s protected because of that sacrifice?
Freedom. Family. Community. A future shaped by values greater than self.
We honor those who have given more than most will ever know—not just in moments of war, but in the steady, everyday acts of service that hold our country together.
