People are used to me being the funny one, but this past year I’ve been intentional about stepping into more serious work. This anchor role is both ...poised and playful, and that duality is stretching me (I like being stretched creatively so I'm in it 🤞🏾)

I’ve pulled back, focused up, and poured into what matters.

Unreleased footage from past project "Back 2 Base"

The story follows an actor who loses his footing in New York and is forced to return home after losing everything including his career momentum, and the only true friend he had in the city...his girl.

Ironically, while the film centered on pivoting and bouncing back, the project itself became a real-life lesson in exactly that. Due to unforeseen issues, we weren’t able to complete the film, but the experience pushed us back to the drawing board and taught us more about filmmaking than a smooth production ever could.

This wasn’t a failed project. It was a necessary step in the growth of hungry filmmakers who still had more learnin and polishing to do.

I started slipping because I couldn’t figure something out editing-wise. I reached out for help but it still wasn’t clicking. So I went back to my core — my friend who keeps a battery in my back. Being around her positive spirit instead of the ones that drain you is a life saver every time. ✨🙏🏾✨
