Nothing says Spring Time in the south like the blooming dogwoods dotting the landscape and peeking out of the forests signaling the upcoming leaf out of all trees. Fun fact about the flowering dogwood, the petals are actually bracts- modified leaves- that surround the tree’s true flowers which are small and inconspicuous. The bracts, typically white or pink, serve to attract pollinators to the small flowers in the center.

These two beauties never imagined they would soar to 33 stories tall but when the opportunity to add plants to this 33rd story lounge presented itself I knew they were up to the task! Soaring to new heights to connect people with nature!

A vintage hammered copper bowl anchors this lush tropical arrangement of fern, philodendrom and tillandsia invoking tropical vibes inside to distract from the blustery winter vibes outside

First signs of spring in these Forsythia blossoms promising warmer days ahead. Bundled and displayed in a vintage glass water jug for our newest partnership with Kinship Apartments at Camp North End. This is the epicenter of cool and creative energy with funky vibes and effortlessly hipster people and without fail channels the junior high nerd within me complete with braces, carrying his saxophone trying to make it across campus without getting stuffed into a locker.

Enjoying our last days of the summer annuals in these containers and getting excited for what the fall rotation will bring!

Intersection of form and function.

Love this home in Southpark for a great client that had very specific needs for their outdoor space. From a tranquil spot to relax by the fire to a low maintenance batting practice area and basketball court, to the shaded front yard welcoming guests to the front door, each space has a function. Oh and did we mention the lawn requires no mowing, watering or seeding each year!
