Being a volunteer with the Veterans Heart Group is truly a family affair. We’re all brothers and sisters in uniform and we all served a common purpose, to protect and defend this wonderful nation of ours. And being a volunteer with VHG is a great way to be able to continue to serve those who also served.

It’s always a blessing when the veteran that we are visiting has a supportive family by his or her side. Pictured is Air Force veteran Robert Shaw along with his wife and two sons.
Thanks to VIA Healthcare for inviting us to spend some time with this wonderful family.

Veteran volunteers with the Veterans Heart Group have been busy in this new year! These visits are always a time for fellowship between Veterans of all branches of military service and their families, a time where we as veterans honor one and other for their sacrifices and service to our great nation. When a spouse thanks us and says I’ve not seen my husband this happy in a very long time, it makes these visits the more precious. If you are a veteran or the spouse of one and would like to join us please let us know.
