Today we are flexin’ on athlete Seth Mullis.

A little about Seth: ​​​​​​​​

1.How long have you been doing Crossfit? Off and on but collectively about 2-3 years

2. Why do you like to compete?
Competition has always been something that I’ve enjoyed. It’s definitely a huge adrenaline rush waiting for the clock to countdown. That nervous feeling surrounding completion has kindof become something I look for at this point.

3. Proudest moment in crossfit?
It’s hard for me to pick an isolated moment. Probably been most proud of where Crossfit has taken me as a whole. I used to be in bad shape and Crossfit has definitely helped transform my physical health in a massive way.

4. What was your favorite thing about RX Madness?
I really like the format of the events and how you could earn a seed and then it transitioned into the playoffs. The events themselves were also pretty interesting.

5. Home gym?
I went to a Crossfit gym years ago and then kindof fell off for a while. I’ve been in my garage for the last 7 months.

6. Favorite lift?
Probably bench press. I know it’s not a classic Crossfit lift but it’s always been something I’ve been pretty strong at.

Fun Fact: Seth and Team competed and won second place in our RXMadness 2023! Huge congratulations to them!

Athletes 4 A Cause, raising money for RyzAbove Fitness. They provide exercise classes & social opportunities to inspire neurodiversity teens & adults to live a healthy & more fulfilling lifestyle.

This will be a partner workout hosted by Crossfit Mecklenburg. The workout will consist of 3, 9 minute AMRAPs. Movements coming soon.

A little about Haley: ​​​​​​​​

1.How long have you been doing Crossfit?

Going on 3 years

2. Why do you like to compete?

I have always been super competitive my entire life. I love to push myself to be better. After I finished playing college softball I needed a new sport to be passionate about. Competing gives me the opportunity to try to become 1% better every day.

3. Proudest moment in CrossFit?

When my dad decided to start CrossFit after watching me do it over the years and now we get to workout in the same gym.

4. What was your favorite thing about RX Madness?

The max lift WOD, also how well the comp was run. It was very upbeat and efficient with some awesome people behind the scenes.

5. Home gym?

Spindle City CrossFit & CrossFit Belmont

6. Favorite lift?

Clean
