🌧️☔ Good News for Your Lawn! ☔🌧️
Mother Nature is taking care of the watering for us this week! 🙌 With plenty of rain in the forecast and already in the ground, most lawns around the Charlotte area won’t need any supplemental irrigation over the next several days. 🌱💧
In fact, adding more water right now could do more harm than good by creating conditions that favor lawn diseases and shallow root systems. 🚫🍄
✅ Save a little money on your water bill
✅ Give your sprinkler system a break
✅ Let your lawn soak up the natural rainfall
Remember, healthy lawns need the right amount of water—not the most water. 🌿
Sit back, enjoy the rain, and let Mother Nature do the work this week! 🌦️😎

🌱 Three W**ds That Love to Test Your Patience! 😅
This week I wanted to highlight three weeds we get a lot of questions about:
🌿 Dallisgrass
🌿 Virginia Buttonweed
🌿 Nutsedge
The bad news? All three can be extremely stubborn and are some of the more difficult weeds to control in a lawn. 😬
The good news? They can be managed with the right products and a little persistence.
One of the biggest misconceptions homeowners have is expecting these weeds to disappear after a single treatment. In many cases, it takes multiple applications spaced over several weeks to achieve acceptable control. 🗓️
If you’re dealing with any of these weeds, don’t get discouraged if they don’t vanish overnight. W**d control is often a process, not a one-time event. 💪🌱

🌧️🌱 **Fescue Lawn Owners — This Is Your Week!** 🌱🌧️
If you've been holding back on watering because of the heat and disease pressure we've been dealing with, this week is a great opportunity to give your lawn a drink. 💧
With temperatures moderating across the Carolinas 🌤️ and disease pressure decreasing, your fescue can take advantage of the moisture without the same level of stress we've seen during the hotter stretches of summer.
✅ Water deeply, not daily
✅ Early morning is still best
✅ Aim for about 1 inch of water per week (including rainfall)
✅ Let the soil dry slightly between watering cycles
A healthy fescue lawn is all about timing, and Mother Nature is giving us a little help this week. 🍀
Remember: watering during a cooler week helps the grass, while watering heavily during hot, humid weather often helps the fungus. 🦠🚫

🌧️ Charlotte Area Homeowners: Put The Sprinkler Away! 🌧️
If you live in or around the Charlotte area, your fescue lawn probably doesn’t need any extra water right now. Mother Nature has been working plenty of overtime lately! ☔️
In fact, every time you turn on your irrigation system right now, you may be paying for the fungus you’re going to get later. 😅🍄
Brown Patch and other summer lawn diseases love warm temperatures and excessive moisture. With all the recent rainfall, many lawns are already staying wet longer than they should.
✅ Skip the irrigation when rain is doing the job.
✅ Let the soil dry between rain events.
✅ Mow regularly when conditions allow.
✅ Watch for early signs of disease.
Remember, fescue doesn’t just need water—it needs oxygen too. Right now, most lawns around Charlotte have had plenty to drink! 🍻🌱
Don’t spend money watering your fungus. Let Mother Nature handle the watering while you keep an eye on lawn health.

🌱☀️ Bermuda Lawns Are Waking Up — Now It’s Time to Feed Them! ☀️🌱
If you want a thick, dark green Bermuda lawn this summer, fertilization right now is one of the most important things you can do.
Bermuda grass thrives in the heat, and as soil temperatures rise, it’s entering its peak growing season. A properly timed fertilizer application helps:
✅ Increase density and fill in thin areas
✅ Improve color and overall appearance
✅ Encourage healthy growth and recovery
✅ Help your lawn better handle summer stress
✅ Build a stronger, more resilient turf stand
Many homeowners expect Bermuda to look its best in July and August, but the foundation for that summer lawn is being built right now.
At Advanced Turf Care, we focus on giving your lawn exactly what it needs when it needs it — no gimmicks, no unnecessary upsells, just proven agronomic practices that deliver results. 🌱👨🌾

🌱 Why does lawn disease show up seemingly overnight?
A concept we use in the turf industry is called the Disease Triangle (sometimes called the three-legged stool of disease). For disease to develop in your lawn, three conditions must all be present at the same time:
✅ A susceptible host (your grass)
✅ A disease pathogen (fungus)
✅ Favorable environmental conditions (heat, humidity, moisture, stress)
Take away any one of those three legs, and the stool falls over.
The challenge is that during our Carolina summers, we can’t control the weather, and disease pathogens are naturally present in most lawns. That’s why disease prevention becomes so important.
At Advanced Turf Care, we focus on keeping your lawn as healthy and resilient as possible while using preventative fungicide applications during the highest-risk months. Because when it comes to summer lawn diseases, it’s usually not a matter of if they’ll try to move in—it’s a matter of when.
A healthy lawn is always the first line of defense. 🌱

This picture says a lot about why we do what we do.
Advanced Turf Care isn’t a big national company with shareholders to answer to. We’re a local family business. The lawns we care for belong to our neighbors, our friends, and the communities where we’re raising our own children.
When you choose a local company, you’re not just hiring someone to spray fertilizer or control weeds. You’re partnering with people who genuinely care about the outcome. We want your lawn to thrive because your success becomes our reputation. Every green lawn, every satisfied customer, and every referral helps support families right here in our community.
As a father, I understand the value of having a beautiful lawn where kids can run, play, and make memories. That’s why we build our programs around what your lawn truly needs—not around upselling services or finding ways to charge extra.
Thank you to every customer who trusts our family to care for your lawn. Your support allows us to do what we love while building a better future for our own family.
From our family to yours, thank you for supporting local. 💚
Ever notice how some lawn care companies seem to have a never-ending list of “recommended add-ons”?
Need fungicide? That’s extra.
Need grub control? That’s extra.
Need nutsedge treatment? That’s extra.
Need protection from summer stress? You guessed it… extra.
The truth is, these aren’t luxury services. They’re often things your lawn genuinely needs to stay healthy and look its best.
At Advanced Turf Care, we’ve always believed lawn care should be simple and honest. That’s why we build our programs around what your lawn actually needs instead of creating opportunities to sell you one more add-on every time we visit.
Our goal isn’t to have the cheapest program. Our goal is to provide the most complete program so you know your lawn is getting the care it deserves without surprise charges throughout the season.
Because taking care of your lawn shouldn’t feel like buying an airline ticket.
Honest. Experienced. Dependable.
Summer in the Carolinas brings heat, humidity, and one thing every Fescue lawn owner eventually deals with… fungus.
The reality is, with Tall Fescue it’s usually not a matter of if your lawn gets disease during the summer — it’s a matter of when. Brown Patch and other turf diseases thrive in warm nights, heavy humidity, and frequent rainfall.
That’s why preventative fungicide applications are so important.
At Advanced Turf Care, we believe homeowners deserve a simple, honest approach. Many large lawn care companies use summertime disease pressure as an opportunity to continuously upsell extra treatments and add-on services throughout the season.
We do things differently.
Our Summer Fescue Program is designed to include what your lawn actually needs from the start — fungicide protection, grub and surface insect control, and nutsedge treatment — without constant surprise charges or pressure to purchase “additional” treatments later.
Simple. Straightforward. Effective.
Just honest, experienced, and dependable turf care.
