Some days, I still don’t feel good enough. Even after all the work I’ve done. Even with the role I’m in now.
Growing up in a sport, where perfection was the expectation, not the exception, wired me to believe that mistakes meant failure. That I wasn’t enough. And even though I’ve stepped away from that world in many ways, some of it still lingers.
But here’s what I hold on to now:
I am ALWAYS learning.
I am STILL growing.
And that gets to be enough.
If no one has told you today, you’re allowed to be a work in progress. And that doesn’t make you weak. It makes you real. 🧡💚💙💜

The loud encouragers, the “I’m fine” kids, the ones who always bounce back - they need check ins too.
Remind your athlete it’s okay to not have it all together. Let them know that being a team player doesn’t mean they have to hide their own emotions.
Confidence grows in safe spaces. Even the “strong” ones need support.
I created Growth Mindset packets that can help with just that. Check them out. Click the link in my bio!

If you want your athlete to be more confident, it’s not just about drilling the skills, it’s about building the environment around them.
✅ Praise effort, not just perfection
✅ Set clear expectations
✅ Let them speak for themselves
✅ Support the mental game, not just the physical.
Confidence isn’t something they “just have” - it’s something we help them build.

A friendly reminder.
It’s important to teach your kids at a young age to lean on your people, reach out for help, find strength in being vulnerable.

Reminder!!! A good practice isn’t defined by perfection. A good practice is when you gave it your all, you learned something new, you made a teammate smile, you set a boundary, you inched towards your bigger goals.
Perfection is not the standard.

Need a fun and visual activity to inspire young athletes to achieve their goals? Goal gardening is a great way to do just that. Create a banner to place in a communal area and assign a flower to each athlete.
🌷 Have them write down their long term goal in the middle of their flower and then little baby step short term goals in the petals that will ultimately help them reach their big goal.
🌺 Each time they achieve a short term goal they get to color in that petal!
