Yesterday was such a rough day, woke up to horrible news and it just kept hitting us the entire day...

This is Bow Wow, hes such a good boy... a little slow to warm up to new faces, but when he does, he is unstoppable...

I've personally met only one other dog that will go into the zoomies immediately after poopin' 🤦🏽

Well, yesterday Doc confirmed what I already suspected... torn ACL 🥺

We will have to figure out what are next move is... the challenge will be keeping him calm
🫩😁

The look on his face says it all...

🥺

TODAY THE VILLALOBOS FAMILY IS IN MOURNING

In the early morning hours, we lost a sweet soul who came to work for us over a year ago. Originally from Alaska, we had doubts that she could handle the ways of Louisiana, especially the weather.

But her love of dogs and our mission gave her the strength to power through it, and, combined with her amazing, uplifting, and positive outlook on whatever life threw her way, she remained a rock-steady VRC employee.

Succumbing to her injuries in a one-vehicle accident right here in our hometown, there are so many questions we have. The first being...why her? She was one of the good ones. It's simply not fair.

Sara never met a stranger, and she would give you the shirt off her back, and if she didn't have one, she'd go and buy you one. Her 24/7 smile was infectious, and I can still hear her voice when I would pull up in the driveway..."Hey Miss Tia. And how is your day?"

She leaves behind family in Alaska and so many friends and co-workers who are heartbroken beyond words. And each day when I have to drive by the spot in the road that took your life, I will slow down long enough to say, "Hey, Miss Sara. We know that you're in the afterlife, taking care of all the VRC dogs that have passed on. Thanks for that. And hey...we miss you."

Rest in Paradise, my friend.

🥰 seniors are the best!

💜Do you know about our Senior Dog Program?💜

Adopting a senior dog can feel a little scary, we get it. The what ifs creep in… especially when it comes to medical care and saying goodbye too soon.

That’s exactly why we created our Senior Dog Program, to make saying yes to a senior feel safe, supported, and full of love.

✨ With our Senior Program:
• There is no adoption fee
• We cover their medical care for the rest of their life
• We walk beside you through medical decisions
• And when the time comes, we lovingly support you through goodbye

All you have to do is love them.
We’ll help with the rest. 🤍

Senior dogs have a special kind of magic.
They’re gentle, grateful, and so deeply thankful for every soft bed, every warm meal, and every quiet moment by your side.

🐾 Adopt a senior.
Their love is calm, steady, and soul-deep.
We promise, it will be one of the sweetest decisions you’ll ever make!

Meet Joe and Bubbles, both great to have around... 😁

We were getting ready for Bubbles meet and greet today, unfortunately it fell through so he gets to hang out with us a bit longer.

He is such a good boy, warms up to strangers pretty quick. He is crate trained and does well inside and outside...

Feel free to like and share the post so we can get this beautiful boy adopted.
