My name is Quinn Zimmerman and I am the new Fitness Director at O2 Fitness West Ashley. I decided to get into the fitness industry having spent years being that person who desperately wanted to put on muscle and feel good about themselves. I have tried countless different fitness programs and diet tricks. Through a lot of trial and error I have managed to build the knowledge and physique I have today. With the knowledge I have gained through education, research and my own experience I am confident I can guide you to achieve your own fitness goals. No matter what your personal goals are, weight loss, bodybuilding, functional training or overall health, I can help.

80/20 rule

Have you ever heard of the 80/20 rule? It can be applied to the health and fitness world by sticking to your diet or fitness routine 80 percent of the time and giving yourself 20 percent to miss a workout or have a little treat in your usual diet. This can be used for all gym goers but can be extremely important for those just starting out. Many people start a diet or fitness plan and do amazing for a few weeks (100%) but then they slip up a little bit and throw in the towel because they view it as a failure. In reality, that’s far from the truth. Even with one or two slip ups you’re still adhering to the new plan well above 80% which you should be very proud of! Nobody is perfect, so stick to your routine and keep pushing forward towards your goals! 💪

Hi Everyone!

My name is Sammy, and I just moved to Charleston from Massachusetts in July! I have always been an avid fitness enthusiast, having played soccer and track all the way through to college. I am super passionate about health and wellbeing in all areas. I am a firm believer of incorporating workouts for the trifecta that is the Mind-Body-Spirit. I pride myself on always keeping a very positive outlook and being overly optimistic. Being a former soccer player I would love to find a team to play pick up with in the area! As well as being at the front desk, you may find me in Kids Corner! I have been a nanny for 3 years, and have tons of experience with kids. The thing I love most about working with children is sparking their creativity and self motivation! I am super excited to see all of your little ones and spending quality time with them while you work on meeting your health and wellness endeavors! It takes a tribe, and I'm excited to be a part of the O2 Family!

The new O2 Fitness Club in West Ashley is less than a mile from the current West Ashley location and will be in the recently renovated Ashley Oaks Plaza. The new Club will total nearly 30,000 square feet and feature a large Group Fitness studio, an amped-up indoor cycling studio and a specially cushioned area for stretching and core training. It will also feature a large area of functional training turf and an outdoor functional training area. In addition to all-new strength and cardio equipment, it will boast new luxurious locker rooms and an upgraded Kids Club.
