We were so sad to hear the news this morning about our iconic Angel Oak. 💔 Oh, the stories she would tell...
I painted at Angel Oak earlier today. I just received a photograph of a huge limb, that had fallen off the tree. What a shocking sight of our beloved Angel Oak tree. We have had to trim some limbs for safety after hurricanes, but this is the first major limb I’ve ever seen fall. The park will be closed tomorrow (Thursday) for safe removal of the limb.

Terrific Tradd Street — one of Charleston's most historic and picturesque streets. Named after Robert Tradd, the first English child born in Charleston in 1679, this little street is among the oldest in the city and was once part of the original walled settlement. Its timeless charm and beautifully preserved homes make it an incredibly photogenic spot, capturing the essence of Charleston’s colonial past with every step.

Our Christmas in Charleston tours are back! For two nights only this December, come capture the magic of the holiday season in our beautiful city. 🎄💫

"The strongest oak of the forest is not the one that is protected from the storm and hidden from the sun. It's the one that stands in the open where it is compelled to struggle for its existence against the winds and rains and the scorching sun."

Step back in time with Charleston’s iconic iron gates!Crafted as far back as the 18th and 19th centuries, these masterpieces weren't just functional—they were symbols of wealth and status, reflecting the artistry of skilled blacksmiths. Every intricate detail tells a story of Charleston’s rich history. Let’s go explore them together.

Did you know Charleston has its very own French Quarter? While it might not be as famous as the one in New Orleans, ours has a unique charm all its own. Nestled between the iconic City Market and Broad Street, Charleston's French Quarter earned its name from the many French Huguenots who settled here, seeking refuge from religious persecution. This enchanting neighborhood is rich in history, with cobblestone streets, picturesque alleyways, and an atmosphere that's sure to captivate you. Why not come and explore it with us?

To celebrate World Photography Day tell us three things you love to capture. We’ll go first…symmetry, puddle pics and dreamy drippy Spanish moss. 😍

Postcard worthy views at every corner…
