We're beginning to feel the percolating energy of SPRING! In Chinese Medicine theory, every season relates to one of the 5 elements and specific organ systems - in the spring, the Wood element is most active and the liver and gallbladder are the organ systems that need the most care.
The liver and gallbladder pair are responsible for the smooth circulation of Qi, or energy, in the body. This time of year, there is more activity and growth in nature, and some themes you may see in your environment are fresh starts, rebirth, and renewal. You may feel more inspired to run a marathon, do a detox, start a new project, plant a garden, or spring clean the house - activities that show that your body's qi is responding to the energy of the season.
Check out our latest blog, 8 Health Tips for Spring to learn how to support optimal functioning of your liver and gallbladder - https://www.blueheroncharleston.com/blog/8-health-tips-for-spring

What is Health Coaching? ✨
As a professionally trained expert on health and wellness behavioral change, health coaches empower you to change your habits and behaviors to achieve your health and wellness goals. Trained to listen with an objective, compassionate and non-judgmental ear, health coaches are uniquely skilled to help you uncover obstacles and provide you with the tools to take control over your own health and happiness.
Health + wellness coaching is designed to provide guidance and accountability to help you achieve specific wellness goals. During your appointment, your coach will sit down with you to hear what you have been experiencing, discuss your goals, and explore challenges and solutions. You will learn to incorporate daily habits, self-care routines, mindset practices & nutrition strategies to further support your goals. Together, we will reflect on the key components in your life that allow you to continue to evolve in a meaningful way: career, nutrition, physical health, relationships and spirituality. Our practitioners offer tangible, affordable and accessible suggestions to help you experience greater wellbeing.
Health Coaches are perfect partners for people, like you, who want an individualized approach and ongoing support to set goals and make sustainable changes for your future.

Libby specializes in Neurostructural Integration Technique, or NST. This is a gentle yet effective soft tissue release technique. It promotes deep relaxation and releases muscle tension. This bodywork technique can provide a lasting relief from pain, an increase in energy, and an unmistakable sense of wellbeing.
NST treats the whole body, but is particularly effective for spinal conditions, TMJ, headaches and migraines, neck conditions including whiplash, shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand conditions, fertility and menopausal conditions, sports injuries, and anxiety.

What is Thai Bodywork? ✨
Originating from the ancient healing traditions of Ayurveda and Thai Buddhism, Thai massage is a common treatment in Asia and is slowly being accepted and integrated into Western culture. Thai massage is the physical application of Metta, or loving-kindness, in which the practitioner gently moves the client in a series of dynamic, assisted stretches while compressing and massaging the muscles. The practitioner uses their whole body as leverage to move, rock and stretch the client.
Traditionally given on a floor mat with clients fully clothed, Thai massage is a whole-body treatment that involves working along the energy meridians. The focus is on opening energy blocks along the body promoting healing and relaxation. The art of Thai massage achieves a deep therapeutic effect without harsh physical force through efficient use of movement, conscious touch, breathing and rhythm. Sometimes nick-named, “Lazy Man’s yoga”, clients often feel like they completed a deep but gentle yoga class and received a massage at the same time.
Thai massage is truly a unique service that must be experienced to truly be understood!
