The best way to start a Monday is with kind words from a planner after a challenging weekend wedding in Savannah.

"Three very big words but they hardly convey how I feel - YOU ROCKED IT !!!!!

Every step of the way you have made working with you an absolute pleasure - you return calls and emails immediately, you redid proposals over and over, you invites us back for a second proposal and got (the mother of the bride) to a place she felt assured her vision would be brought to life.

Day of when everything was behind and scattered you reigned it in and (made) it all happen.

A million thanks to you, Chef, Heather, Christian and your entire team it was simply WONDERFUL !!!".... { sugar } event + design

Our dedicated team has been working overtime during this wedding season, rocking out events all over the place!

The staffing crisis is REAL and we can't thank our team enough for signing up, showing up and working hard. Team work is alive and well at Salthouse Catering and we are grateful for every one of our people.

Job includes:

Banquet Server Summary: Performing food and drink serving duties at special events while interacting with guests in a positive, friendly and efficient manner.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

 Set up for events by putting out tablecloths and place settings, arranging table placement and assisting with food displays.
 Carrying plates of food on trays and serving guests.
 Perform cleaning tasks and breakdown of service.
 Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness.
 Adhere to grooming and appearance standards.

Qualification requirements:

 High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
 Previous waitress, waiter or banquet server experience preferred.
 Excellent oral communication and listening skills; adhering to direction is essential.
 Excellent customer service skills.
 A banquet server must provide their own uniform which consists of a black button-down dress shirt, black pants (no yoga or jeans), black belt (when needed), black long tie, black bistro apron, black socks and black shoes.

Physical demands and abilities:

 Frequently walking with some standing at times, possibly extended distances; ability to bend and climb stairs when necessary.
 Ability to reach with hands/arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly
 Frequently lift/carry up to 25 lbs.

Event Kitchen Summary: Translate prepared food from prep kitchen to event service. At times this involves building event kitchens, finishing/warming food items on-site, plate-up & dish garnish.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

*Communicate with Executive Chef & Chef de Cuisine to plan for successful events.
*Set-up/build event kitchens.
*Oversee warming & finishing of food on-site.
*Delegate tasks and instruct culinary team members on-site.
*Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness.
*Adhere to grooming and appearance standards.

Sous Chef Summary: Aid in prep kitchen throughout the week. Assist with tastings and event prep, including equipment and logistics. Travel to events to assist with opening and plate up when needed.

Qualification requirements:
