I began playing bagpipes in 1978 at The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, under the direction of Pipe Major Sandy Jones (former Pipe Major of the USAF Pipes and Drums). I have played solo and with pipe bands across the United States and overseas as well. Great Highland Bagpipes
Since 1978, I have played bagpipes for events such as the internationally acclaimed “Heritage of Golf” held annually on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, piping in the haggis at the annual Robert Burns dinner on Spring Island, to end of the season parties for a four year-old girl’s soccer team.
From weddings at State capitols, on beaches, and in cathedrals, to graveside at funerals and on a boat whilst ashes were interred in Calibogue Sound. Leading wedding parties down the streets of Charleston to a reception, playing Christmas parties, corporate events, birthday parties, and as a favor to a pedestrian who happened to intercept me between a gig and my car.
I have played in bands in the US and overseas, and as a soloist almost anywhere imaginable. Limited only by your imagination, I could play for you too.
