I'm a new patient as of Jan 2020 and wanted to share a little. I'm a 60 year old male, overweight, cancer survivor and have no insurance. The dollars I spend each month to be a member at Low Country Wellness have come back to me many times over in just six months. If you find yourself in a similar situation, don't give up yet and check out Dr. Penni because healthcare is affordable even for us ! Emphasis on the CARE part and I'm a real person... my name is Vaughn and I'm blessed to have found Dr. Penni and her team !! :)
Dr. Marsha Cayton is a pediatric nurse practitioner at SEE Alternatives Pediatrics. She joins Amy on Real Mom Talk to discuss what makes her practice different from other pediatricians. At See Alternatives they practice “slow medicine,” where their focus is always on the patient, never rushing through appointments and always getting to the heart of your concerns and questions. Their care is immediate, thorough, progressive and very personal. Instead of the typical, high volume pediatric practice where a provider sees 6-8 patients an hour, they slow things down and see 1-2 patients an hour.
Member benefits: Private facebook group with access to wellness modules, webinar with experts, conversations about what is important to you. You will be able to self-schedule lightening appointments without having to wait for the office to open.

This is what it looks like when you drink ONE soda, per day for ONE month‼

🚫That's a lot of excess sugar that the body doesn't need.

We challenge you, 1 month soda free and see how you feel 👀

skin irritation or dimpling
breast pain
ni**le pain or the ni**le turning inward
redness, scaliness, or thickening of the ni**le or breast skin

Today is World Heart Day! Let's go over the facts about your heart.

Y'all - did you know Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the world’s number one killer, causing over 18.6 million deaths per year?!

CVD is a class of diseases that affect the heart or blood vessels (veins and arteries). More people die from CVD worldwide than from any other cause: over 18.6 million every year. Of these deaths, 85% are due to events such as heart attacks and strokes.

Did you know that your heart is the size of your fist (yes your fist!) and is the strongest muscle in your body?

Your heart started beating about three weeks after you were conceived. If you live to be 70, it will have beaten two and a half billion times!!

However, although impressive and strong, your heart can also become vulnerable from habitual risk factors like smoking, eating an unhealthy diet, or living under stress.

Our part of creating affordable and phenomenal healthcare is making sure we check every inch of your body, including everything inside!

Together, no one fights alone

Let's take a moment to talk about how HIV/AIDS can and can not be transmitted.

"HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is a virus that attacks cells that help the body fight infection, making a person more vulnerable to other infections and diseases."

We highly recommend getting tested and letting your primary care provider know when you have been sexually active with someone new or has shared needles with someone.

Our History

Dr. Penni Vachon, APRN, ANP-BC opened Lowcountry Wellness Center LLC in August, 2017. After being a patient in the standard American medical model she decided to create a patient-centered option for her patients while removing the insurance companies from the picture. Dr. Vachon graduated with her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a focus as an Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner in 2010. She returned to UAB and completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2017. She loves helping her patients achieve their goals and improving their quality of life while incorporating holistic and integrative approaches to her care.

After transitioning to Direct Primary Care January 1st, 2019, Dr. Vachon had the chance to win the 2019 Charleston Choice Awards for Best Family Doctor. We are honored to be able to give Charleston an affordable health care alternative and be able to give her patients that are members access to Sedera Health Share.
