I am one of the millions of American women with PCOS. Like you, I've had to struggle with weight gain, excess hair growth, and fertility challenges. When I was diagnosed in 2017, I was crushed. I had just gotten married and there was NOTHING I wanted more than to get pregnant and become a mother. Many of you know the pain of being told that you will have difficulty conceiving (or may not be able to conceive at all)....

Signs You May Have PCOS PCOS symptoms are not fun and being told your chances of fertility are super low or even non-existent, is one of the toughest things to hear.

Hormone balancing can be accomplished with your dinner plate!

Sweet potatoes: are high in Vitamin B6, a vitamin that helps with liver detoxification & metabolism of s*x hormones.

Sunflower seeds are high in Vitamin E, an antioxidant that is important in estrogen production and may help boost progesterone levels

Kale: Dark leafy greens such as kale provide antioxidant Vitamins K, A and C. Vitamin C will help shore up our adrenals and its B vitamins will nourish our nervous systems. These antioxidants also help to combat the damage caused by stress.

Avocados: Avocados are a rich source of healthy fats that will help keep our blood sugar levels even, and will support our nervous system function. They also contain Vitamin B5, otherwise known as pantothenic acid, a stress-fighting B vitamin.

Brazil Nuts: Brazil nuts are packed with selenium, an antioxidant that protects the thyroid gland and helps the body convert T4 into T3, the active form of the thyroid hormone.

Fatty Fish (Salmon, mackerel, etc): Fish oil has been associated with a long list of health benefits, and some research indicates that omega-3 supplements can decrease androgen levels in women with PCOS. One study found that women with PCOS who were given three grams of omega-3s a day for eight weeks had lower testosterone concentrations and were more likely to resume regular me**es than subjects who received a placebo.

All is well, I'm a bit banged up but today I will be doing almost all of these self-care tips and thought I'd share with you all in case you also almost died due to legos all over the floor lol (or you're just having a bad day).
