On March 5 th, Michael and Caitlin Toscano, owners of Le Farfalle in Charleston where Drew worked as Sous chef gave a beautiful tribute to Drew. Pre service he gathered the staff and they all had to say a little something about Drew, not a dry eye in the house.
Michael then announced he was starting the Toscano / Tursi Foundation . A foundation setting up a scholarship in the Charleston area culinary programs in Drews name to aid upcoming chefs in the area pursuing their dreams . Michael will work out the details but ideas in the works are competitions to win this scholarship and internships in neighboring Charleston restaurants. I cannot think of anything more fitting to celebrate Drew.
Thank you Caitlin and Michael for warming my heart as Drew's mother . We will never forget how alive he was and all the laughter he filled our souls with. ❤️❤️❤️

On Tuesday, February 2nd join us for a @holycityhogs Suckling Pig Feast! We’re preparing four dishes in addition to our regular menu served a la carte with beautiful Italian wine pairings by Allesandro Guarino of @imperowinesc. Don’t miss Tank himself in the bar room hand slicing a 42 month Aged Ossabaw Island Ham cured by legend @bentonsbacon!

Our Thanksgiving Day featured wine is coming from @crusewineco! Ultra small production from North Coast, California, and drinking with such vibrancy. We can think of no other match to our turkey plate with rich mashed potatoes and zingy cranberry sauce. This wine is composed of predominantly Napa Gamay (Valdiguie Nouveau) along with an array of other estate varietals. It’s approachable and so crushable! When we’re out, we’re out! We had 12 bottles, but we drank 1...so, we’re down to 11.

There are still reservations available for tomorrow. Remember, reservations are for indoor dining. The patio will be open (and we have heaters for when it gets cold!) but is seated first-come, first-served, which means there is plenty of availability for walk-ins. Give us a call if you’d prefer to order in and pick up. Mostly, we’re just so thankful to our community for keeping our doors open during this time. It’s been so hard for everyone, and we’ve been so inspired by this town for holding each other up along the way. We love you Charleston and we’ll see you tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍽

Happy Monday, Charleston!

It sure is a beautiful day. The kind of day that would have our patio overflowing with all types of gatherings, from business meetings to birthday celebrations.
We’re itching just as much as any of you to get back to that comfortable place, but the reality is, we won’t get back to that any time soon.
